@rogerthehat Thanks pal, yes I did a Google search just after posting that and found out about her BBC Devon show. She had a nice way about her that made her very good to watch back in the day. I might listen to her show on the Net if I get a chance - she is a lovely woman! :-)

Did a lady called Marjorie Lofthouse Appear as a presenter in the late 70's or early 80's on pebble mill as a presenter,because she was headmistress at my school,Redhouse Comprehensive Sunderland.

Neighbours had just started on BBC-1 and was a bit of a hit so Des made a record of the theme. Might have been an idea to mime to it.
