I don't think it's hatred, I think it's misunderstanding. Most people aren't used to hearing prayers like this, or seeing prayers sung with such.....fervor. It surprises and scares them a bit because it's different, but it hasn't "backfired" at all.
I met a lot of Muslims online that really like the way I sung the Takbir, many of whom subscribed to me. It's just that when people don't like something, they want to get rid of that emotion. So they get rid of it here. It's okay.

I wasn't trying to sing a song ABOUT the Eid, I was purposefully singing the Eid Takbir in hopes I could show other people and other religions what joy we can get out of Islam. Why can't faith based ideas be both? Remembrance AND joyful entertainment? I think life and faith are full of joy as long as you're able to find it. Especially with the Takbir we sing after the last day of fasting...Muslims hearts should be FULL of joy while singing this. Mine always was. I just think that too much "seriousness" with not enough joy and you start to lose some of why we start believing in the first place.

He is simply singing the Takbir of Eid his way...hes not doing anything bad. People are over reacting. Islam is a beautiful religion and we must enjoy it. We cant just sit there looking depressed and sing with no emotion when praising Allah SWT. Allah Hu Akbar! Say it like you mean it! :)

Allah made the prophet Muhammed a serious man for those serious times, but Allah also made me. He didn't make me to be serious like the prophet, he made me to BE me.
I sing with fervor. I express emotions through body language. I display the different sides of my personality using colors....all of which are singing the Takbir with emotional fervor. God made me like this. :)

Islam doesn't need such stuff, its already a great and cool religion. for example Allahom sally ala saydna Muhammed, do you know when and why did Allah order us to say that. Nasar abdah, do you know how much sacrifice from the prophet and his companion just to fulfill Allah's promise of ''nasar abdah'' its much bigger story than dancing and hip hoping with some cool moves.

The part at 0:50 where I shake my hands up in the air, that's an homage to my father. He's the Imam at his mosque and that's what HE does to inspire people to sing LOUDER!! Islam IS a cool religion, and these "hip-hop" moves are just one man's way of agreeing. No offense meant. :)

I know bro what you are talking about and i understand, I was rized both in Egypt and Netherlands so i understand your western attitude, and beeing ur father an Imam and he didnt teach or give u the full image of the meaningfull and senstivity of Quraan, duaa, and ahadeeth. for example, a big part of this takbir starts with Allahum, allahum is a begging and desire for the next sentences, and normally in arabic you are in a situation wehere you are standing infront of the Lord subhanoh we tala.

I will tell you what is wrong with your way of singing. first of all I don't have any intension to insult anyone, but first i don't know what is your background, what ever it is, its just maybe you don't know and there is nothing wrong with that. did you ever saw a reciter he cries at certain phrase and ever wondered why? I can not say for example Allah Akbar while dancing or hip hop movements, just to let other people say hey Islam is fun or cool,

Nabeel - I also felt you were exploiting the sacred remembrance of God the first time I've seen this hilarious video. But after many viewings and taking into consideration your bombastic, light-hearted personality I came to the realization that you're sincere in making Eid takbeer enjoyable for everyone. It just didn't click at first because your style is exactly the way I'd make fun of something; but you're clearly mispronouncing everything unintentionally and put a lot of work into this clip.

Nabeel, I think this is great, it is great you are showing Joy in your religion, if you choose to sing it this way, with Joy in your heart, then all the better. Most of the negative comments just don't get it, there could not be any better way to honor your religion than doing it in this joyful way. For the guys making bad comments, he is NOT mocking Islam, he is truly feeling elation in Islam, why would that be wrong? And, by the way, I am not a religious person at all, but I respect this.

I don't think it's hatred, I think it's misunderstanding. Most people aren't used to hearing prayers like this, or seeing prayers sung with such.....fervor. It surprises and scares them a bit because it's different, but it hasn't "backfired" at all.
I met a lot of Muslims online that really like the way I sung the Takbir, many of whom subscribed to me. It's just that when people don't like something, they want to get rid of that emotion. So they get rid of it here. It's okay.

That song sounds very professionally done, but it's not the Eid Takbir. I wasn't trying to sing a song ABOUT the Eid, I was purposefully singing the Eid Takbir in hopes I could show other people and other religions what joy we can get out of Islam. Whenever I sang the Takbir in the mosque, I never had anyone complain. I'm sorry you feel the Eid Takbir is insulting to hear. Peace.

Im agree.. I dont like he make tekbir like that.. Like playing the name of Allah.. If he compose 1 new eid song with style like this i cant i accept it, maybe be 1 of my favourite song.. For example i ever visit to 1 of south east asia country, i hear they have many eid song with many of rhythm n style, from cha2, twist, agogo, 70 disco, hindustani, rock to hip hop, but they never make tekbir like this boy do.. What a shame for this guy..

Why can't faith based ideas be both? Remembrance AND joyful entertainment? I think life and faith are full of joy as long as you're able to find it. Especially with the Takbir we sing after the last day of fasting...Muslims hearts should be FULL of joy while singing this. Mine always was. I just think that too much "seriousness" with not enough joy and you start to lose some of why we start believing in the first place.
