To those of you who think binding freeline skates is pointless...It comes in handy for doing certain things like going up or down stairs/kirbs, or avoiding cracks or holes in the ground. The binding is removable so don't get all bent out of shape about it if you don't like it. Also its a great idea if you want to learn how to grind with them or go the the skate park and go off some ramps or into the bowls.

depending how strong the magnets would be, you could jump but still peal or slide your foot off... what do you think about this idea?

Binding eliminates a large portion of the cooler things you can do with freelines. Some imagined security and an inability to bail are gained...?

Hm...it is very inventive. I get a lot of questions about Why there aren't any straps on the skates. If the freeline skates HAVE straps...it's a lot more dangerous when you fall or slip. If you fall or slip WITH the strap, you're basically dead.. But other than that, very inovative.
