I LoVE this very well deserved tribute to a real cowboy.I guess songs like this aren't written anymore or not that often is because LOVE is being taken for granted.Love back then was a very special feeling saved for that very special someone.Now days kids fall in and put of love like getting in and out of trends.People are not IN love with love anymore.Unless you experience real love and know all the emotions it brings along you can't sing a real country song or even interpret it.Blessings.

Another example that demonstrates that today's artists COULD make good sounding country if they wanted. Why, seriously, WHY would they not want to make music like this anymore instead of this GARBAGE they put out today?! You hear all young artists saying they grew up listening to George Jones, Merle Haggard etc... yet they go on stage and sing like Elton John, Rod Stewart and alike. Seriously, bring back the steel guitar and country music and Johnny Reid, please leave our country music alone.

Authentic country died with the arrival of George Strait. George Strait was the beginning of the end of country. George Strait was an outstanding singer who only knew how to imitate the original, organic vocals of Jones, Lefty, Conway, and Merle (in a smoother, watered-down, more radio-friendly format). He had no real soul himself or original style. He is just a good singer with great vocal control, a glorified impersonation act with a good ear for hit songs. You did "clean up" country through.
