  • ... is this guy for real?

  • i dont close it with my other hand i just grip it and it never falls out

  • this one needs a lot of work. How about calling for the ball, drop step, running on your toes..............

  • Dude why the hell do u foword thos things there so annoyioing ive read like 5 of em and nothing fricking happins wtf is wrong with u fredric

  • he is teaching the footing wrong..he should be sidwyas so that you are never backpeddling..the way he is standing will only give him forward momentum and leave both side and back of him without speed. Not a very good teacher here.

  • @SecretOfLucent I was actually thinking the exact same thing watching this..and I'm a third baseman, haha.

  • @SecretOfLucent

You are right he is just going to fall over backpedaling.

  • i bet this guy missed the pop flys the first 10 times

  • wow this guy sucks, i play right field for my highschool team and u never back pedal to get to the ball u sprtin hard to where the ball is going to land get behind it a little so in 1 smooth motion u catch and throw the ball to the cutoff man or 2nd, dont watch this vid just keep practicing get hits in the outfield and u will get better at it, just practice a lot

  • Who has the best videos?

  • @xxballsonweelsxx Exactly what I was thinking never back pedal easy to trip

  • @xxballsonweelsxx And how, pray tell, is he supposed to sprint back to where the ball is supposed to land when they're tossing him the ball from probably about five feet away during the demonstration? If they hit the ball to him from 300 feet away, I'm sure he would have had time to turn to do a banana route to it. But to complain that he's backpedaling when he has no time to sprint to the spot of the ball is ridiculous.

  • that is a total retard, you are so right spartan!!!

  • for every baseball player watching this it is 100% wrong. on any level. Never ever stand flat footed as he is. You want to catch the ball with two hands over your GLOVE shoulder so you can see the ball travel into your glove. NEVER back pedal ever. As you catch the ball over your throwing shoulder have that same leg in front catch the ball and crow hop (bringing your back leg forward then steppin with your opposite leg of your throwing arm) throwing the ball to the infield.

  • If you really want to catch flyballs frequently you have to break in your glove real well and constantly work on throwing a ballo straight up and just getting under it.

  • i love you

  • U DONT CATCH IT IN FRONT OF UR FACE! thats stupid.

  • always catch it over your glove shoulder

  • what i don't understand is how can i tell if the ball is under me.

    lil help please?

  • your supposed to get under the ball, not for it to get under you

  • i can't tell if i'm under it

  • when you got for a pop=fly you wan tot go back about 10 feet from were you think it will land. always easier to go forward than backwards. and that's because the back-spin of the ball lets to fly further

  • ok...i'm 13 and how we were taught is to run back on our glove side to avoid tripping, or just in case the ball is farther back than anticipated

  • the ball was 6 feet behind him why would he turn around and run back to the stop when all he has to do is take 3 steps back.

  • how we are tought is not to back trac it get right under it while turning around and running for it not to back track to it

  • coolio
