i tie my strings differently than u. my way is much faster and it looks and performs the same way and the way is to rap it around a few times first and then u put it through the hole. it is really easy and fast
It's getting annoying because I get the first 4 strings(EBGD) good to go, and then I get to the last 2(AE) and they break even though I am the most gentle with them, must be doing something wrong.
@ThomasOverMany are you using an electronic tuner when you're putting on the new strings? The only thing that would cause them to break is over tightening and don't do like this jughead in the video and take off all your strings at the same time, unless you want to readjust the neck all the time.

@BobbyCrispy Your video's are lame and don't "educate" anyone. If you're new to guitar you might "learn" something but anyone with a real guitar (not something bought at walmart) knows how to properly change strings. I was surfing around for a friend that bought a guitar for her 9 yr old daughter and she doesn't know how to change strings herself yet but I wouldn't recommend any of your videos to anyone.
If you know so much why are you critisizing people who "need help" getting the the strings off the guitar. If you know how to do it don't watch this video you moron
I just gotta say that devildog has a point, you don't want to take off all the strings... you're gonna wanna keep tension on the neck of the guitar lest it eventually causes adequate damage.
@PaCo12349 actually i've been taking all the strings off my guitars since i first started playing guitar, so that's 26 years, and i've never had a problem with the truss rod or the neck! all my guitars are still in perfect intonation, and no neck problems!
although bobby method is OK, do the strings one by one, and dont take them off at once. this keeps tension on the neck, so you dont have to fiddle with your truss rod, especially if you have a higher guage than 0,10s on.
@fatu6613 yes i agree with u fatu6613 i always take one string off and clean that spot . then put that string back on . u have to keep the tension.. on the neck unless u get lucky even with 8s i do
Wow I wish you would have made this few weeks ago. It was the first time I replaced an entire set of strings and didn't give it enough slack for tightning like you did. My thin E string popped but I put a B string from an electric guitar on it... It works haha!
you can use them for any acoustic guitar it doesn't really matter well.. just the gauge of the strings...but.uhh..yea you should be good.. ur welcomes 8D
ive been using jazz picks latley. they are smaller and more durable and now ehn i pick up a regular pick, it seems so big and bulky and i have a hard time playing with it. JAZZ PICKS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN REGULAR PICKS! TRUST ME. they work.
hey bob, im 12 and have been playing for about 7 or 8 months now... one question i have to ask is is it ok to use lemon pledge to clean my guitar? because thats wat my dad always used when he was younger so i figured it would be ok. thanks, awesome videos
No, use an alcohol based cleaner for the body and an oil based cleaner for the fret board. Some fret boards however need different cleaners but most need oil.
hey bobby could u show a tutorial how to get rid of fret buzz. i got frett buzz on E, A strings when playing open. any advices? should i adjust the truss rod?

why do you need a winder if you can just turn the pegs?
KoRnhead12 1 year ago
@KoRnhead12 It simply helps with loosening the strings alot faster if you're changing them.

JuGGernaut81295 1 year ago
I was told by a guitar tech that you should never take all the strings off of a guitar because without the tension the neck will warp. Is this true?
xXTHEDOUCHEBAGXx 1 year ago
I've been told the same thing. I don't know if it's true, but there's a logic to it.

Good show you explain it step by step =)
Some people cut the strings directly with a wirecutter instead of unwinding them... The guitar takes a huge beating then.
And the other tips are good and handy too, i will rate 5* =)
JarnodeH 1 year ago
note to self its not good to change all of the strings at the same time its better to do them one by one because of the neck tension. Nice video :)

raise your action .. unfortunately thats the only way. dont mess with your truss rod, you could end up cracking your neck. bring it to a luthier
