  • i tie my strings differently than u. my way is much faster and it looks and performs the same way and the way is to rap it around a few times first and then u put it through the hole. it is really easy and fast

  • good

  • When you applied Fretboard 65, It was like the guitar neck came back to life.

  • Will that dunlop stuff damage the pickups?

  • why do you need a winder if you can just turn the pegs?

  • @KoRnhead12 It simply helps with loosening the strings alot faster if you're changing them.

  • you don't but it will take forever

  • It's getting annoying because I get the first 4 strings(EBGD) good to go, and then I get to the last 2(AE) and they break even though I am the most gentle with them, must be doing something wrong.

  • @ThomasOverMany are you using an electronic tuner when you're putting on the new strings? The only thing that would cause them to break is over tightening and don't do like this jughead in the video and take off all your strings at the same time, unless you want to readjust the neck all the time.

  • @devildog1775907 who is a jughead??? where are your videos??

  • @devildog1775907 yeah i guess that's why i have 28,282 subscribers to my channel, and you only have 2, lol!

  • @devildog1775907 Bobby crispy is great at guitar so STFU

  • @devildog1775907 so if you know how to change strings then why dont you just tell her?

  • If you know so much why are you critisizing people who "need help" getting the the strings off the guitar. If you know how to do it don't watch this video you moron

  • I just gotta say that devildog has a point, you don't want to take off all the strings... you're gonna wanna keep tension on the neck of the guitar lest it eventually causes adequate damage.

  • @PaCo12349 actually i've been taking all the strings off my guitars since i first started playing guitar, so that's 26 years, and i've never had a problem with the truss rod or the neck! all my guitars are still in perfect intonation, and no neck problems!

  • @BobbyCrispy

Eh, I'll stick to the safe route regardless ;X

Everyone I've talked to about this, including a guy whos been playing for some 40 odd years says one at a time, but everyones different :D

  • attention newbies!

although bobby method is OK, do the strings one by one, and dont take them off at once. this keeps tension on the neck, so you dont have to fiddle with your truss rod, especially if you have a higher guage than 0,10s on.

  • @fatu6613 yes i agree with u fatu6613 i always take one string off and clean that spot . then put that string back on . u have to keep the tension.. on the neck unless u get lucky even with 8s i do

  • you are right

  • @fatu6613

and how you clean the neck or apply the products without taking all the strings off??

  • @losKema you can but it would be extremly hard, my guitar teacher said it is alright to take all strings off,

  • Wow I wish you would have made this few weeks ago. It was the first time I replaced an entire set of strings and didn't give it enough slack for tightning like you did. My thin E string popped but I put a B string from an electric guitar on it... It works haha!

  • Say pegwinder 35 times fast in your next vid, please.

  • My instructor already taught me. But this is very useful for other beginners.

  • great video

  • Quick question, can I use Martin Strings for any guitar or does it have to be a Martin Guitar?

  • @ThomasOverMany any guitar man lol

  • you can use them for any acoustic guitar it doesn't really matter well.. just the gauge of the strings...but.uhh..yea you should be good.. ur welcomes 8D

  • any guitar

  • I use Ernie Ball super slinkys for my electrics. Elixer for my acoustics.

  • is it the same thing with electric guitar?

  • wow this is ironic considering i just screwed up changing my strings probably 30 minutes after you posted this

  • I was told by a guitar tech that you should never take all the strings off of a guitar because without the tension the neck will warp. Is this true?

  • I've been told the same thing. I don't know if it's true, but there's a logic to it.

  • awesome video. Just you forgot to say that you can't use that Dunlop 65 Fret Board cleaner on guitars with maple necks.

  • what are the best guitar strings ???

  • @tdcollector nylon strings

  • brand is slinky

  • OMG thank you so much i have been doing it wrong for so long lol

  • ive been using jazz picks latley. they are smaller and more durable and now ehn i pick up a regular pick, it seems so big and bulky and i have a hard time playing with it. JAZZ PICKS ARE MUCH BETTER THAN REGULAR PICKS! TRUST ME. they work.

  • Good show you explain it step by step =)

Some people cut the strings directly with a wirecutter instead of unwinding them... The guitar takes a huge beating then.

And the other tips are good and handy too, i will rate 5* =)

  • note to self its not good to change all of the strings at the same time its better to do them one by one because of the neck tension. Nice video :)

  • hey bob, im 12 and have been playing for about 7 or 8 months now... one question i have to ask is is it ok to use lemon pledge to clean my guitar? because thats wat my dad always used when he was younger so i figured it would be ok. thanks, awesome videos

  • How often should we change the strings?

  • I wonder if you could attach that unwinder thing to a drill? Thanks for the video Bobby!

  • @movienoc101 yeah you can. thats how iv got mine set up hahah it saves time.

  • THANK YOU, YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • I use Elixir.

  • Can you clean the fret board and body with just water?

  • @Sh4dowSlayer i dont think its a good idea to clean wood with water :S

  • No, use an alcohol based cleaner for the body and an oil based cleaner for the fret board. Some fret boards however need different cleaners but most need oil.

  • @Sh4dowSlayer U can actually but with oil it will sound much better ;) promise you :)

  • @Sh4dowSlayer noooo, you should never clean it with water, just buy some cheap guitar cleaner

  • hey bobby could u show a tutorial how to get rid of fret buzz. i got frett buzz on E, A strings when playing open. any advices? should i adjust the truss rod?

  • YES, I especially notice that on some fender models.

  • raise your action .. unfortunately thats the only way. dont mess with your truss rod, you could end up cracking your neck. bring it to a luthier

  • What strings do you recommend? I have always just use ernie ball...

  • @superlou1s i use the pink ernie ball. super slinky.

  • I use D'adario strings on my electric and acoustic, and ernie ball hybrid slinkys on my bass. I reccomend them both

  • thanx man i need that

  • Thanks bro!

  • dude thanks for uploading this
