The first when i play this level i think "Oh my gah!, i'm fucking scary, and have 1 credit, it's over" but then the song start and then i say "MY BODY IS READY".

THIS is how you perfect a genre..forever folks.. I mean forever. This can't be topped thats It for the shoot em up genre. Ikuraga tried & didn't even come close.. not evn top 5!. This is #1 & this type of game creation won't happen again.. similar to final fantasy 7 & it's soundtrack on ps1.. you only get that stuff maybe once a decade. This game was 300 bucks! back in 1998! ALREADY when I used to read gamefan.. the starting price was 300!. instant "treasured"classic took on a whole new meaning.

yeah its too bad the game has a pretty boring scoring system though and it forces its style of play upon you, it nowhere near the best shmup as far as the general shmup community goes, this game seems to be more popular due to the fact treasure made it and people who aren't really shmup fans usually (same case with ikaruga).

It sure is, just not the best shmup by any means of the word. This isn't jusy my opinion at all, the large majority of shmup fans agree that while the game is epic and grand it definitely lacks when it comes to the scoring system/pacing. Radiant Silvergun seems to be regarded higher by people who aren't actually hardcore shmup fans usually it seems, much like Ikaruga =)

@ShitPickle62 I am looking forward to it to a great deal. I really hope it releases the proper version and kind that we Xbox Live gamers play. I've already played and beaten Ikaruga numerous times, so I wonder how much fun I'll have with this game when and if it does come out for the Xbox Live Arcades (including the US regions).

Probably my favorite track in the game, even though Evasion itself is so monstrously difficult. That section with the electric barriers can easily burn a whole credit all by itself.

Are you talking about the barriers that you have to shoot to get them open? I didn't really have much of problem with those. If you're talking about that box that traps you to the lower half of the screen while you have to dodge cannon fire, then yeah that part was a bitch.
