@WeAreDevo456 the console version of Ultima V was odd because 1. it was done by Origin(the company started and founded by Ultima creator Richard Garriott) and not a Japanese studio like the console ports of 3 and 4 were and Origin decided to use the Ultima 6 engine for the console version of 5 which sadly caused a lot of problems as the NES couldn't quite handle it. The original computer version of 5 is much better, not graphically or control wise but overall though.
@Evilmonkey66699 I think Garriott should have either continued to allow Pony Canyon to port Ultima 5 in the style of the previous NES Ultima titles, or put the game out on a 16-bit system if he really wanted to use the Ultima 6 engine that badly.
@ThePhoenixGate A bit late but nope none, the MSX and NES/FC port are identical save for the minor differences, it's also interesting that outside of the early 8-bit Dragon Quest style graphics(which is funny as DQ was inspired by the original Ultima 3 and Wizardry) the MSX and NES/FC versions are identical and completely faithful to the original computer versions done by Garriott and Origin systems a few years earlier.
@rej72380 The game's okay, if you don't mind the hours of GP grinding. The level of grinding required for Ultima III is almost as bad as it was for Dragon Warrior I.
Ultima IV was way better than this. Ultima V is a bit odd, though.

Aside from the obvious mild alterations in music and appearance, were there any differences between this version and the version made for the US?

What's amazing is that there's little to no difference in this and the FC version.. save for the audio.

That was very awesome, given the fact that I've beaten the NES version of this game way back in April of 1992.
