The "proleteriat" is the lowest "class" in society. Also called "working class" or simply "the poor". In the days of Marx they had little to no property, as opposed to the "bourgeoisie" who owned most of the wealth. But this is often no longer the case in western countries.

@willydadog There's an interesting lecture on North Korean society on BookTV called "The Cleanest Race". It shows that the North Korean system was in fact based more on imperial Japanese policies and the idea of racial purity than the ideals of Marxism-Leninism or Marxism in general.

Kim Il-sung(North Korea), Kim jung il(North Korea), Mao(China), Starlin(Russia), Benito Mussolini(Italy, Pol Pot(Cambodia), Lao-Lum( Laos), Phon Kyar Shin(Burma) Ho Chi Minh(Vietnam)… were all communist leaders. they killed millions of people and put most of their people in torment.

Communism is a stateless, classless system that seeks equality and common ownership of the means of production. They are opposites and supporters of both ideologies hate each other.

@AStepAhead100 If a country claims to follow an ideology and doesn't follow that ideology, it doesn't change the ideology. For example, North Korea has important people living happily in the capital while the poor suffer in the rest of the nation. North Korea claims to be communist, but a communist does not want what is going on in North Korea.

@willydadog you cant really say any nation practice pure capitalism either, since free market is usually restricted by states on some level. Still one can argue that communism doesnt work without dictatorship and that social classes cant be wiped off the map. As may be a result of this, any state that attempt to archive an communist society ends up in the same way (sovjet, north korea, mao..)

@Zerg777 Note though, communism has never been tried in any democratic nation, and the only democratic nations where communism could thrive, such as Netherlands, Nordic Nations, France would not be successful, because the democratic socialism there is already serving the needs of the people.

@willydadog Actually, North Korea doesn't claim it's communist. The west claims it's communist, while the word communism was erased from the North Korean constitution in the 90s.

@willydadog There's an interesting lecture on North Korean society on BookTV called "The Cleanest Race". It shows that the North Korean system was in fact based more on imperial Japanese policies and the idea of racial purity than the ideals of Marxism-Leninism or Marxism in general.

@willydadog Actually, North Korea has abolished marxism-leninism since 1988 and took out every communist reference by their Constitution in 2008. Their ideology is "juche", whatever this means.

And i know true communism has nothing to do with killing. my point is it never works because no humans are good enough to run it thats why you only get leaders who claim to be the true God of the world, because you have to be to run a communist system. it always ends up in curruption because the people have no freedom to stand up to it so this gives psycho leaders the chance to rule and kill anyong who stands against them. because no one can do anything.
