I was a baby during D&S's heyday. On this song Jackie Frantz sang the 1st verse. She left shortly thereafter, so the album on which this came out featured on its cover Sue Powell, Jackie's replacement. While it's a sad song, I find it nice to slow-dance to. Long live the country music of my boyhood.
This was one of my favorite country songs, and, in my opinion, Dave & Sugar's very best recording. I don't think it was a very big hit at the time, and it's practically unknown nowadays. I'm sure it's been at least 3 full decades since I last heard it...... until now! THANK YOU for uploading!
This record standing by itself would be enough to guarantee Dave & Sugar their place in musical history. It is simply one of the most heart-breaking songs of all time. Thank you for sharing.
The same comment I made to that very special woman in my life. Though it ended 25 years ago, I still am very much in love with her. I have the sweet memories before I screwed it up.
