Yes, I've had a few. I followed the training to the letter & we had fun playing the games. My first one started out super whack cuz I was nervous...I only sold around $40 but by the end of it the nerves were gone. I don't do it as often as I should but they can be fun. Look some up on here to see. ☺
Girl i just signed up to today and my lead didn't tell me nothin like what you told me. Girl thank you so much for the inspiration and being blunt about everything. I will in fact watch more of your videos. You're Great! And you look nice with your office attire on.
thanks so much for the video girl! <3 I started selling a couple campaigns ago. Thats great to know abou the taxes.. woot! I have already put a lot into brochures.. and all, samples, etc. Are you on facebook?
Yw, ty 4 watching ☺ My name on facebook is TheS ophistiquette (lol). But be ye forewarned...my fb is hella lame, I rarely post ☺ God bless & take care
@conakryfanta "Whether you think you can or cannot you are correct" -Henry Ford. It's just a matter of self control. Don't even buy a set of brochures to start, u should get at least one from the person who signs u up. Take it from house to house with you & write everyone's order down. The next one will come with their order- don't buy a set til you have enough customers to cover the cost. One medium set of bags will last a while til u get going good, etc.
Thanks for the video. I feel like I relate to your style and personality more then most of the Avon reps I've encountered so I'm feeling more confident about becoming a rep.
I made some of the same mistakes. I get free calendars (from everywhere) and get my new reps a "purse-sized" notebook. I tell 'em these things right up front lol...because if they want to make money they're going to have to write everything down. Anytime you mess up, you have to learn from it. ;)
lol, " this is your avon lady peace out!" you are cool and unique i love your style!, i am an avon representative and doing well but geesss my hats off to u :-)
Chavela girl you had me in stitches! I've been an AVON Rep for about six years now and if I saw your video when I signed up I'm sure I would have been much further in my business. I'm saving this video and sharing it with my new recruits. You're the truth and I love how you're just straight up with it. Keep up the good works! Wishing you continued success in your business!
Oh. my. God. You just told my story right down to the no internet and getting high on my own supply! Lol. Wow thank you for making this! You gave me motivation for today:)
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching-sometimes I don't even get comments OR channel comments until a month later, I have written YouTube about this-sorry about that ☺
Omg, I think you're my new fave Avon lady! You are hilarious. Please do more videos! I just joined Avon *again* for the 3rd time. I am determined to make it work this time :)
This video is very helpful, actually the most helpful I've seen. Thank you very much! I do have a question about setting up your table. Where do you set up? What products do you have on your table? I like the idea but am hazy on the particulars. Thanks again!
I set up in high traffic areas, usually a corner spot where there are other street vendors. The things I take out include: tons of samples (of lipstick and the fragrances I'm going to be selling that day), contact cards, my business cards ofcourse, whole fragrance sets (I bundle and bag with ribbons), whichever the latest featured gadget is I take that as well, a lil makeup and plenty of Skin so Soft.
Test out ur own area to get a feel for what ppl there want ☺
love the video, this is the motivation i need myself, thank you so much, this is my 7th campaign and i am trying to make a success by leaving business cards in bathroom stalls and stores and i have customers at my daughter's school,How do you tell irs about your business though i am confused because i thought avon lets them know after you reach a certain amount.
yea thats what i am doing now I have been selling avon for about 8 months now, and i do love it and i do have my regular costumers but my orders are usually around the $200 range just from family and friends. I do have business cards I got free from vistaprint, I just dont know how to advertise any where else. And i dont feel comfortable going up to strangers just yet, I mainly sell to hispanic women, because I am hispanic, I just wish i could get to your level, but i dont know how.
Once you conquer that fear of selling to strangers you'll see your business take off to a new level instantly. Like Nike says, just do it! ☺lol There's nothing to be afraid of, you'll see. God bless u & be well.
Referrals are a good way to get customers, also advertising, on the street sales, I carry business cards everywhere, and door-to-door in my own neighborhood. Refer to youravon.com for the tutorial on getting new customers and let in sink in. Friends and family IS a really good way to start.
One step at a time honestly. You can dress up and go out door knocking, sure, but if you're uncomfy with yourself people can tell and you'll come off akward.
Just start out slowly, if you're not used to suits...start with a blazer and your jeans. Not used to dresses? Start with a dainty blouse. Get comfortable going outdoors a little more kempt than usual. Baby steps ☺ Looks aside, your product knowledge & customer service is what retains customers so WOW 'em with that. God bless!
Yes this is a pretty good video ive been selling Avon since 2002 I got over 500 customers on and off i was in Presidents club in 6months the first year of selling at my job, then i quit and 2004 i started selling Mary Kay sold $600 dollars in that tried to change my customers people didn't want to buy Mary Kay. Went back to selling Avon got Presidents Club again in 2005, then been selling ever since but now i am an Avon Rep, no more Presidents club but i do have 127 that orders every 2 weeks.
I sell Mark and Tiny Tillia (which is the new baby line) through Avon ☺ I know Mark Reps that sell Avon so I'm sure it can be done but you should ask a Mark Rep directly. Have fun!
I receive that blessing in the name of Jesus and I pray the same for you ☺ Thank you so much for watching & your positively encouraging feedback - Stay sweet, love!
Chavela, I just want to say thank you for taking the time to make this video. It was VERY informative and I am a new rep so you brought to light some great pointers. I signed up on june 2011 and ive made some money and def learned a lot.. avon is def a good business to get into if you have the determination!!
yes thats true..sent back some boxes this week .. Avon been real nice to me ..one girl on our team sold 300,000 ok she gets ro keep100,000 for herself ..I have no idea how she did it .. Anyway ..thanks for you vid ..I been having to rethink how I m gonna make this happen . But its been a great journey .Tax ID for Avon cool.
@TheSophistiquette I thought i needed a sales license to set up the table on the street. to get tax id dont u have to register ur business name with the city ..and then u get a tax ID? or is it directly with IRS? One guy said he registered his business as exempt but Im not sure what that even means..
Hi, I'm not sure if I answered this in ur box or not. I was just going through some vids again but incase I didn't: I registered directly with the IRS as a direct seller and I always make sure to check with the city before I pick a new location. I don't choose locations where I need a license. My advice is to look up your local SBA to get you started and explain to them your goals. They should have all of the info you'll need to register. I hope this helps ☺
Girrrrl.......... I like your style, your so down to earth and you keep it to real. Thanks for telling the truth. My hat goes off to you Sophistiquette.
