Hehe, I got into it properly when I was 16. I like some modern music but don't listen regularly, and would choose classical if I had to choose a genre! I think most people like some classical, even if they don't actively seek it. Things like Pachelbel's Canon etc. I just always think it's annoying they don't take it further, but I guess it's an intimidating world of terminology, periods and composers to beginners, and that's where I try to help - some of my friends are slowly turning ;)
