There were some acts who felt brave enough to brave the 2005 aid concerts and who were found out with a performance which was poor. I am referring to the Black eye peas who were nothing short of awful at the concert.Pete Dougherty was another and quite a few others.

With the second concert in 2005 many singers hid themselves away and again Bands like Green day who could perform excelled while others ran off.These others had no control over the sound system so they couldn't play backing tracks like they normally do at their concerts!!!!.

This was the standard thing to do in Europe while acts in the USA had to perform live.Thats why not many break into the USA. However when Ashley Simpson was found to be miming on Saturday night live in the USA in 2004 then there was an outcry.

Top of the pops acts was hijacked by this fact and singers with poor vocals exploited this fact and I imagine was a reason which led to its downfall.All during the eighties many great artists were persuaded to mime. However over last 10 years people took advantage of this.
