@rael3554 & @thorxj I fixed it on the video...I was playing a C#m7 on the chorus but I had forgot to note the minor on my annotation. It's fixed now! Thanks for catching that!
help please what's the name of the light skin guitar player with the afro that's playing guitar on this song ? because I remember years ago he had an Instructional cd out with a bass player by the name of king something(witch broke down these songs) I've been trying to find it help me please! thanks in advance.
Nice work. I'm happy to see that others have came to the same conclusion (as far as chords) that I have. I've played this on keyboards, but your arrangement for guitar is spot on.
right so im playin this tune in music class and instead of a DM7 on the first chord of the verse my chart is telling me Dmaj.9 just wanna know what you think about that working or not, thanks
Hey bro great job. Know any Jay Perez?? Trying to learn some his music. If you could put on you tube " por ultima vez that would be awesome! I love Tejano but there are no tutorials how to play it. Any videos would help thanks.
I listen to this over & over and have come to the conclusion that either chord could work because the bass is on the root of C and the notes that are sung are neither indicating a minor or 7th. So it could go either way. neither clash.
Hi John.......This video was extremely helpful. I was able to do this song last night at a gig with an R&B band. Great break down of the parts too. User sheriffnick was right anout the last part of verse being a C#7 as opposed to minor. This was great . Thanks very much. Do more if you can!
Hey John Great Job! I had to watch you tape just as my football coach made us watch film for hours on in. I just about have it down. I just wanted to say thank you very much. Keep doing what you are doing.
i like the video and you're pretty good, but as a lesson i've only figured out the chorus its really badly done, im sorry but could you at least like sort off spell them out. Because i'm peaved at the way you've played the chords.
He could have spelled them out? There right there. Sorry, but, you have to be blind not to be able to figure this out. Look at the chord shapes and put two and two toghether and stop complaining about getting something for nothing.
I think they are: Dmaj7 / C-7/ B-7/ C#-7 / F#-. I guess the trick is the rhythm strumming pattern.

@thorxj - Both those chords are interchangable mostly. I'm curious. What does your chart say about the C#7 or C#m7 in the chorus?
