This game just had everything you could wish for in an (Action-)RPG. A protagonist you can identify yourself with, interesting places to discover, many different other characters you interact with and build a relationship with, true masterpieces of music that wake up the most different emotions in you...

This game was pure magic. The creators of this game were gods back when developing this masterpiece. And nowadays games... they will never play in the same league as the older games. Shameful.

This game was the best and most dignified conclusion of a game console. In 1996 the N64 came out and the days of the SNES started to being numbered, but Terranigma was the epic end. And I don't use this adjective often!

wow this game actually had a great feeling of empathy to it.

When i saw the princess going over to ark (baby form), it actually felt strange, i mean it was like a new beginning thing, it just felt strange. And there were other places that gave me that strange feeling. No other game has done that to me.

Every second of this track is a masterpiece. My favourite bit is 0:20 to 0:32 because that is when a continent is restored after completing each tower and then you are back to the underworld map, ready to move onto the next one.

I can still imagine me, going out of crysta for the first time, stepping in the over(under)world and suddenly this theme started... and i was standing still thinking "what the hell, this is fucking awesome, does this come from the game?!" i needed to check a second time and after that i always had a huge grin on my face while listening to this...

best worldmap theme OVERALL. no wind scene or terra theme or else can compare, in my ranking is this 1.0, everything else starts around 1.3 !

Secret of Evermore,

Chrono Trigger,

Illusion of Gaia/Illusion of Time.

Game developers nowerdays have far less imagination and creativity than those people back then. The only series that sort of has an epic feeling left nowerdays is the Final fantasy series but even that one is losing it slowly lately.

@NeroTheDarklord The SNES had great games because it was so closely competing with the Genesis, resulting in two systems with some of the best games ever made. I'd be daft to deny any of those SNES classics you listed, but Phantasy Star, Gunstar Heroes, Dynamite Headdy, Toejam and Earl, and Ecco the Dolphin were just as awesome.

Long live the rivalry between SNES and Sega Genesis!

When I heard this theme, I knew the rest of the game was good.

I was kinda disappointed actually. The game started to become less fun after the animal phase, just because everything was pretty much standard RPG stuff, and nothing stood out anymore...

Still, a game that holds a special place in my heart.

That's exactly what I had thought. It kinda became just another boring old game after the first half. It threw away all the amazement you got by actually seeing the acts of reviving the Earth. I disliked even the ending as it was more self-centered than the previous parts and the world's genius just decides to die.
