Gracias Gracias otra vez..
Although I love mini Ben actually doing the solo on this song, I think it sounds more like Stefan Leadbeater was doing the solo. Hear him doing the high notes on Salva Me at the Crystal Cathedral and compare the sound here on this song.
I don't want to create a controversy but I think it's much better if we wait until the album was released to know who the actual soloist is. Or better yet inquire from the LiberaOfficial website.
@rsoriani - The fan community is pretty sure it's Ben. If you listen to a lot of Libera, you definitely recognize his voice. The way he pronounces a lot of his descending vowels is quite distinctive.
@barcode9588 I just started listening Libera music and I think is fantastic, but when I read this I get the feeling that it IS possible to listen too much of it.
Ben and Tom's voices are so different it's hard to compare them. Tom definitely had much more control than Ben does - a lot more depth and strength behind the notes. That being said, Ben has this sort of airy innocence that's quite pure and makes him immensely suitable for pieces like this as well as Jerusalem from New Dawn.
Yeah, I immediately thougt: 'This is Ben!' Amazing solo. For me, this song has a bit the same mood as Sancte: very sacred, quiet and emotional in a certain way. Close your eyes while listening and you see the Libera-boys standing in a big cathedral, candles in their hands...
Thank you very much for posting this, and for giving the extra information in the info box! I just registered and got the free mp3 file of the song. Passing on the torch, I posted the news on my Twitter :-)!
Let's all make their new album a BESTSELLER folks! How come libera make words that look so complicated and strange on paper, sound so beautiful and inspiring when listening to them.
¡Muchas gracias, Isaqui! ¡Me alegro que te guste esta increíble canción que se va repitiendo y nos va elevando poco a poco a la contemplación de la belleza de María!

Agreed. :) Robert Prizeman has this incredible ability to arrange and write songs to suit a particular soloist's voice.

Looks like Ben has taken over Tom's top lead solo. Although I think this song was written for his solo and no one elses.

Here is the beginning (English translation):
"O most holy, O most lowly
Sweet Virgin Mary
Beloved Mother, undefiled
Pray, pray for us!"

AVE MARIA

O sanctissima, O piissima, Dulcis Virgo Maria.
Mater amata, intemerata, Ora, ora pro nobis.
Ora, ora, ora pro nobis
Virgo respice, Mater aspice. Marter nostra, Maria.........
