  • The original 383s, 440,s and Hemis that I remember ran quite smoothly...had instantaneous neck snapping power, and sounded better than this car. They were finicky and hard to start, especially in cold weather. I don't care for these wheels either. Sorry. To each his own. I seem to recall that the original Mopars idled relatively fast at factory settings. I know that they were a handful for the average driver. You could bury the speedometer on a five-mile stretch.(with room to stop)

  • very sexy car

  • What is the song in the background???

    Please give me a title.

  • @karol9696

    Boss Barracuda by the Surfaris.

  • sick

  • I have always liked the "Fish" body best myself

  • boss barracuda by the surfaris

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Not much love shown for the fastback Barracudas. Sad. I kinda like that style. To me it looks like something you might get if a 70 Coronet mated with a 68 Fastback Mustang. As far as street engines go, there's only one thing that looks more badass and intimidating than a dual quad 426 Hemi and that's a blown 392 Hemi. Enormous heads that make the 426 look reasonable. Stack a chrome roots blower on and it looks like a beast! Probably not as much power as a 426, just a beefier look.

  • nice choice of music dodge and plymouth for life

  • the air scoop is good with these cars but get darker paint job for it and also 16" rims, and 225/40/16 front 255/40/16 rear for tires just a suggestion

  • umm... i would defiantly invest in some bigger wheels and the air scoop looks a little awkward but this is a very nice car.

  • forbes625-The scoop looks identical to the original Super Stock Barracudas produced in 1968. Only 50 or so were made and are extremely rare today. The original cars had lexan windows, trunk mounted battery, glass nose, lightweight bucket seats etc. Chrysler also produced a similiar amount of Dodge Darts which had the same equiptment. These cars ran in the quickest SS classes by the likes of Sox and Martin and Dick Landy. Those were the days !

  • @forbes625 no you wouldn't

  • Well, it;s a homely body style and the wheels don't fit at all, but I sure like those power trains.

  • He oughta get somebody to fix that engine. It don't idle too well.

    NOT!

  • seeing this car makes my heart beat faster it's my dream car

  • I believe i saw this car at Delgrosso's Amusement Park in Altoona, Pa?Correct me if I'm wrong but I rarely forget seeing a mopar as nice as this

  • Great car - as a matter of personal taste I don't like the wheels - otherwise I wouldn't change a thing

  • my asshole would pucker pulling up to a gas pump in that lol, still beautiful car though.

  • that car sounds sweet - what size cam do you have in it?

  • according the 1968 guinness world records book.

  • "THIS" car is far faster than the original Super Stock cars. And it doesn't dip or sway, stray or go all over the road. And... You NEVER have to adjust the carburetors. And... You can drive this car EVERY day on Pump Gas... I can go on, but bottom line is, this particular car is the equal to a 'high' performance car of today in driveability while maintaining the look of yesterday. It's a resto mod.

  • That is the 2nd fastest production car in the world in the 1/4

  • i agree to an extent with those awesome e bodies. There were produced more, but only like 80 of each 68 dart and barricuda were made by the hurst corp.

  • I wonder what a real Hurst 68 Super Stock car would be worth today, assuming all the numbers match. This car is a resto mod, but the builders spent countless hours in Chrysler archives making sure they were doing it to the original Super Stock specs in many respects. The builder is a Chrysler engineer at this time.

  • a famous one like sox& martin's or dick landy is worth upper 6 figures and on into 7 figures. superstock a- bodies are the baddest cars to ever come off the assembly line.

  • @fridogg $10000000000000000000000000,00

  • 68 hemi cuda and darts were and still are the most sought after muscle cars today M#'s of course

  • I would disagree as I have yet to see any 68 anything bring 1970-1971 e body money. Incidentally, the designation of the word 'Cuda was a performance option that started in 1969. Personally, I like the look and styling of this car more than an e body, but the market overwhelmingly has shown it will pay far more for an e body 1970 or 1971 'Cuda. Numbers matching is nothing more than a pain in everyone's ass... Buy one you can drive!

  • i had one .but only with a 340 .

    i was 20 and it was 1982.

sold it many years later for an engagement ring.

some advice for the Young ....

it was a huge mistake .

  • biggest mistake ever :P even if you have good wedding (no offence towards the wife btw :P)

  • I love the cross ram!!

  • My grandpa has one of these. I can't wait tll i get to drive it.

  • Very - Very Nice.

  • the wiring is suppose to be messy - it gives the idiots something to moan about

  • that sound....Monster!

  • What's the name of this song?

  • boss barracuda by the surfaris

  • Beautiful, hemi sounds lovely, only slight criticism is the messy wiring, but a gorgeous car

  • Sex.

  • A BODIES KICK ASS

  • That is a thing of beauty and music to my ears Thanks!!!

  • WOW! The detail under the hood shows hours and hours of a lot of work, GREAT JOB!

  • holy crap that thing is nice!

  • Your right. They never made a 71' AAR Cuda. Only in 1970, only with a 340 6bbl. (Six Pack named in Dodge terms). They are very rare (at least a real numbers matching care). This Cuda is awesome. Dual Carb. Cross Ram Titanium intake, Hemi Heads, 426 Cubic Inches, Solid Lifter Cam (they didn't change that till 1970 with a hyrdaulic version but had the same duration/overlap of the previous solid lifter version.

  • This car could sodomize anything through the 1/4 Look around at all the hondas and acuras running at the sound of this big fire breathing dragon!!

  • This car is on E-bay... US $47,600.00 Reserve not met, and like 35 minutes... Sexy ride, but I prefer stock

  • it's an A bomb.

    Plymouth Barracuda/ Dodge Dart

an "A" body with a Hemi.

Hurst made a bunch of so called factory "A" bombs

they came with no paint and no door cranks. it had a cloth strip with a button on it to move the window.

no real exhaust and factory dipped fenders and hood.

I'm guessing that's semi replica of a Hurst Hemi A bomb.

    nice Job.

they used to own the drag strip back in the day.

  • beautiful car, but that just sounded like if you didnt keep revving it, it would probably die. almost as bad as my old 92 dakota with a clogged exhaust.

  • Your an jerk moron. You know nothing of big cam cars. what a retard

  • whaever i can say what i want and not have to listen to your so-called superiority...

  • ohh im enjoying the sound of that cam. long duration and a short lobe separation angle. its like sex for my ears!

  • check out 69moparman for some great exhaust sound from a 69 roadrunner

  • gay song of a HEMI 426

  • A hemi combustion chamber of this type also requires a big efficiency robbing dome.

  • Beautiful restoration

  • that is a beautiful car in all aspects!!! I am a chevrolet person but i will always stop to admire a nice mopar!! I need to show you pics of my neighbors 71 challenger the 3rd car in the line up of pace cars after the first wrecked it is a rat but a very rare peice

  • Beautiful!

  • you ever run it on the 1/4? what you get?

  • sick car im getting a '71 AAR CUDA 340 whats the name of that song

  • they never made a 71' AAR cuda...look it up

  • Beautiful restoration. Ya gotta love the cross flow intake too!

    Pooey on the rims, though.

  • SICK! but im not to keen on the hood scoop but fucking awsome car!

  • Unbelievable...
