I think you would probably be fine drinking these, but keep in mind that everyone is different, so you may have to experiment to see how they affect you. I still have protein shakes for breakfast on a regular basis because it works for me.
Thanks for the info! I don't care for the Atkins shakes myself, which is why I drink the EAS. None of them are really very cheap though, so it's always good to find a bargin on them. :0)
Hi Victoria! I've not had any trouble losing while using the Atkins products, BUT, your way of counting is certainly safer! If anyone were having trouble losing while consuming these, they would certainly be the first thing I suspect.
Nice Sparky! On the EAS shakes, you can get them at Sam's Club for $27.00 for 24. A little better price than WalMart, although around New Year's you can usually find a "bonus" pack (6 shakes) for the price of 4 at Walmart.
Great new video - we can't have enough low carb videobloggers on Youtube! I definitely have subscribed. I never trust their math either. Were the bars full of glycerin?
Thanks Kent! I looked at the box after reading your comment, and sure enough - glycerin is the second ingredient. So it must be chock full of the stuff.
There are a number of low carb websites (google glycerin and low carb) that would follow the ANA beliefs regarding glycerin. I am not a big frankenfood eater, so I have no personal knowledge if it'd stall me or not. However, given the evidence I may believe the net impact carbs or at least eat it more often than those that feature sugar alcohols. Eating soap (another use for glycerin) doesn't sound too tasty though.
I'll admit, these are one of the few bars that don't stall me. Sugar alcohols can put a stop to my weight loss quickly. As far as glycerin.. I had my mouth washed out with soap when I was a kid. It tasted nothing like this! Thank goodness or I might have ended up with an awful potty mouth. LOL
You did awesome for your first time Amy! Christine and I better watch out. :D loved your comments about the Atkins bars. I too have had those concerns about the math. I'm thinking there is some fiber-based sweetener or something in it. Those nougat bars are good, though.
Thanks Jimmy! If there is a fiber-based sweetner being used, then they really should state that. Those of us that have learned to count this stuff carefully are not content with "it's the way we formulated it" as an explianation.
do u think that drinking the EAS Shakes on Atkins induction would stall my weightloss? Im very much like you,not a breakfast person at all.

I no longer believe the Atkins net carb counts. I now take the total and subtract just fiber and go with that.

the same happened to me, that "2 carb" on atkins bars is bull, I had 4 one day and kicked me out of ketosis

I can believe it erickdahen. These are really only useful for having once in awhile.

I agree they should come clean about what's in their products.
