  • My keeshond goes Orurururururu! its the cutest thing ever

  • Ooooh I groom a keeshond every 8 weeks with shedding blade. She is the best dog. She speaks a lot also. But she is a little over weight. Sorry for your loss :(

  • My dogs do the same thing lol its a keeshond thing lol

  • Bear? Its a dog

  • haha that's too cute !

  • Lol my keeshond mix does the same "glurble" sound when she is trying to talk to us, or when she sees something on tv

  • I make noises like that to our Keeshond when I play tug-of-war, she loves it

  • That was a sweet, happy howl.

  • "rumrumrumrum"

  • LOL! Please record more of Bear talking like that. Too funny.

  • @mitsk2002 Bear passed away a few years back, but she's dearly missed. :)

  • @JackDSRS Oh no. Our Keeshond passed away earlier this year. So sad. They are great dogs. Thanks for sharing your warm memories with us.

  • Love the talk and waving tail. Thanks for sharing.

  • My neighbor has a one that growls. When we first moved here, I thought she was a deluded lady with a vicious dog. I didn't buy that the breed was just "vocal." After 4 years, I realize he's a very sweet dog. It's completely counter intuitive - you pet the dog, he growls and grumbles all the while he's kissing you and trying to crawl into your lap. I've used your video to help convince my husband that the dog isn't going to eat our daughter's face. Thanks for uploading. More please. ;)

  • haha love it <3

  • Sounds like "Wroof! Nom-nom-nom-nom-nom!" XDXD

  • ok, so we are gonna need a translater, and a WHOLE LOT of dog treats

  • Such a comical sound!

  • Wait what?... Why is the keeshond doing that? lol

  • our keeshond do that as well;)

  • we're getting a keeshond in like 2 weeks I can't wait

  • They're wonderful dogs. :) They're always grinning, happy, and do that hilarious tail wave. Er, most of the time.

Their panting and snoring, however, may drive you nuts. One of mine snored like a 68 year old man with a respiratory disorder, and he slept under our bed. Sometimes you'd wake in the middle of the night and it'd be a little creepy. "Honey, is grandpa sleeping under the bed?"

  • This is a fabulous rarity to catch one talking on video.

    Thanks so much.

I have heard that it is quite common for male Keeshonden to talk but not so for the girl Kees.

    Dinah's dad, Vic

  • We've had a new little boy, Edgar, that's a talker and makes some of the weirdest sounds I've heard a dog make. I'll see if I can catch some on another video.

  • @JackDSRS yah my male doesnt bark, he mouths and speaks :) we think its some kind of spanish :P

  • sounds like a motor

  • lol xD

  • We got a new, young Keeshond about a year ago, and he's started making weird wooing sounds, and other strange sounds. The other dogs just look at him like he's mentally challenged.

  • My old Keeshond, Kylie used to actually say water.

She also said my moms name a few times.

My dog Riley does this, and he goes on and talks too me. Grumbling at me no doubt, because I wasn't playing with him :P

  • She's trying to tell you to roll over

  • I did, and she didn't give me a treat. Never fetched for her again. :P

  • haha! And in the video, Jordon looks over and says "Oh my God, Bear, you can't just tell a human to roll over!"

  • One day, I found myself trying to show them how to rollover. I think they thought, "What a retarded human." Then they jumped me.

Oh, well. It seemed like a good idea at the time...

  • My keeshond does that too (:

  • are these dogs rare? i think they look tight but i cant find anything on them where i live

  • Just search on the web for Keeshond or Keeshond Rescue. For a good home, a foster will help you find one.

  • our keeshond does that to sometimes!

  • that is priceless. he almost said something we can understand. i think movie producers should use the kees more for those animated films, they would not even have to use special effects with your dog

  • I haven't heard that sound in years!!! hilarious...so true. My father would then imitate it, which would then get the dog barking full speed ahead nice video

  • i have akeeshond named jake who also talks! We're teaching him how to say i love u! lol keeshonds must be the smartest breed of dog there is!

  • how funny my kees does that..we call it "glurbling" because thats what it sounds like. He wakes us up with his ruff, glurb glurb glurb rrrrrr...

  • Dude this video is hilarious. When I get mine I doubt it will do that, but ya never know, ya never know.....

  • Strange, I have a borther who is getting one.

  • thats because I am your brother moron.

  • She's a doll! My kees is very vocal too but not as articulate :-) Very sorry you are speaking in past tense.

  • my kees does exactly the same. "aaaah rooo roo rooo"

  • oh wow, love this.....look at the happy waggy tail too! out of the 5 kees I have had, only 2 wag their tails

  • It was her own personal pom-pom. :)

  • HILARIOUS! Only occasionally have my keeshonden said something similar.

  • She used to talk all the time. I don't know where she picked it up, but it was one of many favorite things about her. She'd get going into a whole conversation with us, goofy sweetheart that she was.
