Buddy Guy is over-rated.....his best solo stuff was back in the middle and late 1960s. He let his soloing get more distorted and forgot to stick to the BLUES!
@dvsmind2001 Check out his album Stone Crazy (not the 1960s single of the same name) - his best album by far. Almost the textbook East-side Chicago sound, very uniquely Buddy.
There are no blues men around today, 'cept BB King. I think the current generation has evolved its own interpretation of the blues but it lacks the firsthand experience that JLH and the Wolf and Ray Charles lived with. Their form of the music is gone.
