  • Wil Ferrel was clearly influenced by this

  • Pardon you? There's nothing behind me but my sweet hot chocolate buns. I bet you you like to button them buns huh faggot? These are nice expensive shirt but some cheap damn buttons on I'll tell you that right now, you know we're gonna fuss and fight and it's all right. HAHAHAHAHA.

  • i need to be stonned to watch this

  • The teletype sound effect on this appears to have come from one of Audio Fidelity Records' sound effects LP's of the early 1960's.

  • I'm about to do a non-stop on you choo choo!

  • get the hot knives out! it's the groove tube!!

  • I've never done a spanish chick! O-laaay!

  • I don't get it.

  • Say 'giggidy' three times and read the other comments.

  • Richard Belzer as the hooker.

White male Jew playing black female!

  • @rib109 he is a fucking genius in this. i have quoted this scene for 25 years.

  • hiliarous clip of this movie which i saw on vhs!

  • Yeah Family Guy directly referenced this, but of course it was also the inspiration for SNL's Weekend Update, from Chevy's close to Laraine Newman's "I'm standing here..." reports. SNL, MadTV, Kentucky Fried Movie, Airplane, etc.. all have their roots in the Groove Tube.

  • Does anyone else see how much Family Guy must have ripped on this sketch?

  • Groove Tube had it's moments, but it falls short of being good.

  • This clip is from the cult classic "The Groove Tube" 1974 with Chevy Chase in one of his first films, I have it on DVD. If you like this kind of 1970's satirical skit humor then you'll also like "Kentucky Fried Movie" 1977, I have it on DVD also. Check Ebay or Amazon if you're interested because they would have both these movies.

  • How funny is it that the hooker is Belzer in drag/black face?

  • IT IS A CLASSIC AND NOW VERY REAL AS THEN

  • MY FAVORITE LINE FROM THIS WHOLE MOVIE! which I actually did see in the 70's.

  • Both the Groove Tube and the Kentucky Fried Movie were two 1970's classics that were more funnier than any movie now of days (Although there's a couple that could be funny)!

  • You're young,SHUT UP AND DO YOUR DAMN HOMEWORK.

  • "Hoping that your news is good news".

    Classic Rodger Grimsby

  • It also appears that Bill Jorgensen's "...thanking you for your time this time 'til next time" was also parodied here. That plus "WML?" moderator John Charles Daly's sign-off as ABC News anchor (1953-60), "Good night, and a good tomorrow."

  • "Family Guy" made fun of this clip...the scene where Tricia Takanawa meets up with Quagmire at the motel.

  • movie quotes are LAME!

  • We're gonna fuss and fight and it's gonna be all right!

  • lol classic movie, richard belzer is an unsung hero! lol

  • I'm gonna do a non-stop on you, Choo-choo!

  • the hooker is Richard Belzer

  • Oh yeah! The movie was the shiznit! Kentucky Fried Movie was another classic...Big Jim Slade will rock your world!

  • my favorite movie when i was 12
