With the trash of music played on the radios and "music" charts nowadays, its rare to find ACTUAL music being played; and most people dont understand how to enjoy it.
Open your eyes, your ears, your mind, your heart, your soul and you'll find that life in this crowded and fast paced world we live in so much more bearable and beautiful.
As they say, spend a little time each day, and smell the roses!
To all the bleeding hearts in this post, if he (the artist) was in a NYC subway for God's sake! Of course people there are not going to stop, there mostly miserable anyway. It shouldn't take away from the guitarist, he knows where he is. Besides, there are those who probably did appreciate it but not to the cameras eye. If he only wanted applause, he would have picked a different venue. Maybe he was there for his own enjoyment. I'm just glad someone didn't rob him of his guitar.
God damit... See thats the problem right here. People who do what they love end up playing on the streets while "bussiness" people are the succesfull people with fancy cars, chicks and huge houses.. MEssud up right?
@EvenHummROCKS you can't have everything. the guy playing guitar in a train station has true happiness, while the businessmen who work for money and not for themselves have worldly wealth.
@EvenHummROCKS I don't know.... I'd rather live a free life of music and to have true fans then to sell my soul to the media and have people like me just because I am popular. Maybe its for the best that he is underground (no pun intended)
what a beautiful guitar. I got a classical electric guitar with chambers by godin, and as much as I dislike their electric guitars, i have to hand it to them with that classical electric :\ its a piece of art.
Wow, who would have guessed that a subway could have such amazing acoustics. I would just stop, sit down and listen. And those of you bashing his location choice, I think its genius. The busy hustle bustle of an average work day and then the gentle, elegant lilt of classical guitar amidst it all, such contrast!
This guy is awesome, I could listen to him all day. I love when people bring back the classics. Especially in the subway. It actually sounds amazing in there. The reverb reinforces the harmonics. Awesome!
@snubbs741 well that depends. This song isnt that easy, so I gave him credit, but my original statement was based on todays pop. music, were u can have song writers, get credit, and make alot of money. Were as this guy is easily capable of doing just that and performs above it.
@number1lettera yeah I agree with you there, but the success of shitty pop has nothing to do with the pop singers talent(or lack of) but more the producers talent..
@number1lettera Well the "puppet" is the product, and the actual music is secondary.. it's weird, you can't really measure modern pop music by musical standards, because it isnt really about music. i totally agree with you tho
@number1lettera maybe those crapy musicians are talking in to people's souls through their music..Maybe that guy is just copying somebody elses soul speech...
@number1lettera this guy plays shows, I saw him in buffalo new york, he is playing in these subways because that's where he wants to be! Making millions comes with a big price...
wow, thats just amazing. anyone who hates classical would just have to stop and listen. (I live in NY) next time i go down to manhattan and take the subway ima def look for him.
this is wicked good, but when I was in NY random people warned me not to take pictures of anything that involved the transit, airport, bus station, or especially the subway. This guy is too good! A reason I don't think I'd ever bring my guitar to play for fun in Central Park, or anywhere else in NY. Talented dudes like this!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
why throw him money? why is he a genius? he's playing a piece written by someone else and if you have some guitar knowledge you'll be able to do it because as you can see he's playing note by note... no difficult stuff... all you have to do is remember their order, that will take you roughly one day to learn (or less). conclusion: stfu.
SkunkyBeaumont's reply is exactly the reason. He obviosly needs to eat and pay his way. It's better than pestering and begging for spare change. This guy has bothered his arse to actully do something respectable and he does it very well as far as I can see. That earns him kudos over you matey!
well..since it's "no difficult" and "all you have to do is remember their order" why don't you try to play what he just played..i bet it takes you a lot longer than 1 day...you'll probably never be able to play like that! unless you know........ you wanna prove everyone wrong and post a video of you doing it.conclusion:stfu
ha, if Bach was alive he would multimillionarie.. and dudes like the one in the video would still make make some few dollars playing the master. I dont see your point c0dx.
