  • talent, 100% pure talent

  • beautiful

  • Quite nice. I can understand his wish to use the subway. The acoustics there beat any electronic version.

  • What is the name of this piece? I heard it in a film, but I'd like to know what the title of it is.

  • @CrOeDdE Prelude from Suite for Cello, No. 1 in G (Bach)

  • With the trash of music played on the radios and "music" charts nowadays, its rare to find ACTUAL music being played; and most people dont understand how to enjoy it.

Open your eyes, your ears, your mind, your heart, your soul and you'll find that life in this crowded and fast paced world we live in so much more bearable and beautiful.

As they say, spend a little time each day, and smell the roses!

  • Bach - Cello Suite No.1... He plays it wonderful.

  • He does a better job than half the cellists that this was written for =D

  • bach would be proud :)

  • That's that yamaha deconstructable guitar I've seen. Pachalebelle's Canon does sound better with a country twang. Good Video.

  • To all the bleeding hearts in this post, if he (the artist) was in a NYC subway for God's sake! Of course people there are not going to stop, there mostly miserable anyway. It shouldn't take away from the guitarist, he knows where he is. Besides, there are those who probably did appreciate it but not to the cameras eye. If he only wanted applause, he would have picked a different venue. Maybe he was there for his own enjoyment. I'm just glad someone didn't rob him of his guitar.

  • <ashamed at all of the people walking by like he's playing elevator music or something

  • cool guitar, nice job, thanks for sharing your talent

  • A martin guitar

  • There is something profoundly disappointing in the fact that no one cared about this beautiful music.

I would have given him my wallet.

  • @sancho4567 you SUCKER!

  • is that wheezy waiter?

  • Nobody gives a fuck, oh how busy are these people with their fast miserable lives.

  • Dig it very much.

  • This was beautiul sir. Thank you. I wanted to see what this guitar sounded like and you showed me it at it's greatest potential. Thank you for that.

  • he looks guthrie govan with short hair!!! great player!!!

  • why is nobody paying attention to him? Oo i'd be drooling all over him if i caught him playing in a subway station...

  • bwv 1007 cellosuite

  • cello suite...ive seen lots of them....but this is my faviourite! So far !

  • What's the name of the piece this gentleman is playing?

  • he's doing arpeggios with one finger. that shouldn't be possible.

  • i love this prelude, this guy is great

  • Playing is a bit rushed for my tastes, but player has obviously got skills.

  • best video iav seen in ages its like a comparsion

  • what kind of guitar is that?

  • yamaha electric classical guitar cant remember the exact name cheap enough too i think

  • need tabs:D

  • that was like a fall from grace.

  • God damit... See thats the problem right here. People who do what they love end up playing on the streets while "bussiness" people are the succesfull people with fancy cars, chicks and huge houses.. MEssud up right?

  • That's this society the world over man. Peace.

  • @EvenHummROCKS you can't have everything. the guy playing guitar in a train station has true happiness, while the businessmen who work for money and not for themselves have worldly wealth.

  • @FakeFlourescentSkies To bad not all of the musicians can get a piece of the wealth :(

  • @EvenHummROCKS I don't know.... I'd rather live a free life of music and to have true fans then to sell my soul to the media and have people like me just because I am popular. Maybe its for the best that he is underground (no pun intended)

  • beautiful society.

  • Bravo, meraviglioso, parte molto bella... di Technica del excellente. BRAVISIMO!!!!!!

  • SOLI DEO GLORIA

  • крутой мужик !!!!

  • what a beautiful guitar. I got a classical electric guitar with chambers by godin, and as much as I dislike their electric guitars, i have to hand it to them with that classical electric :\ its a piece of art.

  • Hey watch this, people walk around and they don't notice this beautiful music) Great picture by the way) Guy, keep on rockin'!!!

  • This guy is great. Do you have a ny more videos of him??

  • mehh, i wish someone would play some js bach in the cologne central station subway.

  • Cool down people . That's a piece for cello written by JS BAch

Sure he plays it well. But the genius stays Bach .

    Sorry to minimize you enthousiam

  • thats amazing

  • His playing really livens up the place. it almost gets rid of the trains screeching

  • every time when i saw some people like this guy. i will feel be moved

  • Isn´t that the Hitman theme btw?

  • no hitmans theme is Ave Maria.

  • J. S. Bach: BWV 1007 "Prelude in D" from Suite for Violoncello solo.

  • @eliasthegreek it's in G re

  • Wow, who would have guessed that a subway could have such amazing acoustics. I would just stop, sit down and listen. And those of you bashing his location choice, I think its genius. The busy hustle bustle of an average work day and then the gentle, elegant lilt of classical guitar amidst it all, such contrast!

  • Very good!!!

  • its the type of music you can wake up listening to while sipping on a cup of coffee. or watch the sunrise too hehe

  • This guy is awesome, I could listen to him all day. I love when people bring back the classics. Especially in the subway. It actually sounds amazing in there. The reverb reinforces the harmonics. Awesome!

  • bring back the classics? What happened to them?

  • i could match that brakeing noise at the beginning it makes it so urban

  • not the place to play but whatever...! GREAT!!!

  • ...throwing pearls before swine. I cried.

  • beautiful.

  • he is good but i dont think he chose the right place

  • imagine your busy day, you go to the subway to go home, and this guys there playing calming music, wouldn't that be nice?

  • nice guitar and nice music... congratulations !

  • do u have tabs or sheet music for this piece??? ive been trying to get it and i just cant find one that is free. plz???

  • Thats Bach prelude no 1

  • did ANYONE give him any money????

    XD

  • This guy have a big talent :_(

  • dry cell battery

  • very nice playing. and a sweet guitar

  • He makes it look so easy

  • sounds good with the trains going

  • Nice guitar, bro!

  • what song is it?

  • cello suite #1 in G major Bach

  • Yeah, he warms up all stops on L train.

I bought his CD from Bedford.

  • thats sad ive never seen this guy while on the L train =(

  • Its an ovation.

  • man whatta kind o guitar is that??? And where did he got the juice from, is there just a free connector in the subways or what?

  • I always watch street musicians. they're often really good.

just the other day I saw some old dude in Fisherman's raising money for his son's college fund by playing a Nyckelharpa. really talented guy.

  • Brought tears to my eyes. Bravo!

  • They just passed him by without looking! For the love of god,how about a tip.

  • I know its sad how good this guy is and at the same time there a bunch of crapy musicians who aren't near as good making millions of dollars

  • That's how you know this world is coming to an end...=T

  • truely

  • @number1lettera well being good at playing other people's compositions isn't that rare

  • @snubbs741 well that depends. This song isnt that easy, so I gave him credit, but my original statement was based on todays pop. music, were u can have song writers, get credit, and make alot of money. Were as this guy is easily capable of doing just that and performs above it.

  • @number1lettera yeah I agree with you there, but the success of shitty pop has nothing to do with the pop singers talent(or lack of) but more the producers talent..

  • @snubbs741 exactly so thats why it sucks to have a puppet reap benifit.

  • @number1lettera Well the "puppet" is the product, and the actual music is secondary.. it's weird, you can't really measure modern pop music by musical standards, because it isnt really about music. i totally agree with you tho

  • @snubbs741 weird it is especialy when you hear about their musical skill from fans.

  • @number1lettera maybe those crapy musicians are talking in to people's souls through their music..Maybe that guy is just copying somebody elses soul speech...

  • @pomakos21 greenday.. xD

  • @number1lettera this guy plays shows, I saw him in buffalo new york, he is playing in these subways because that's where he wants to be! Making millions comes with a big price...

  • He's too good and he is sitting in the wrong spot to make any money.

  • omg i saw him play that in the union square waiting area for the L line it was awesome i love how he plays

  • I love how the world passes him by but he stills plays as if time were frozen.

    Amazing -]

  • can anyone tell me the name for this peace??

and if he knew the tabs??

i will be verry thanx full......=]

  • it goes by the name of something like: bach's suite 1 prelude

    : ]

  • i need that i have a classical and electric but i need this to make my guitar complete

  • is there any guitar pro 5 tab for this?

  • Is that shit green screened?

  • wow, thats just amazing. anyone who hates classical would just have to stop and listen. (I live in NY) next time i go down to manhattan and take the subway ima def look for him.

  • OMG id be late for work everyday!!! or leave very very early to sit n listen :)

    excellent

  • I saw this guy one day i think it was in times square by da 7... he was crazy!!! nice classical guitar!

  • i have never seen a guitar like that!

    Very cool!

What is it and where can you get one?

    Anyone know?

  • Its a yamaha, look for classical guitar, yamaha in musician'sfriend and you should find it

  • i think yamaha makes them

  • You can't remove your ears from the beauty!

  • wonderful

  • its a yamaha silent nylon guitar

  • What kind of guitar is that????

  • wow!! congratulations!!!

great!! ejecition!! Sorry, I´m from Venezuela and don´t speak english

  • And they all march past.. what a shame.

  • awesome guitar

  • What do you use to record the sound?

  • Wow very nice actually the first time hearing Bach's Prelude to Suite 1 on the guitar. Awesome job :DD

  • wow,,

    beautiful song!!!!

    =D

  • whats the name of this song?

  • its one of Bachs cello suites

  • Bach's Prelude to Suite 1

  • Beautiful song. But no one gave him tips. I sure would have!

  • That is beautiful, and inspirational

    also, transparent guitars FTW :D

  • the Coover family in Lebec, CA say "WE love YOU"! You're beautiful! If I were king I would give you your daily roast beef, no problemo! Beautiful!

  • this is nice!

  • no body gave him a tip stingy fuckers

  • Beautiful... I would have given you at least $20.. Our street artists are nowhere near this gifted

  • this is wicked good, but when I was in NY random people warned me not to take pictures of anything that involved the transit, airport, bus station, or especially the subway. This guy is too good! A reason I don't think I'd ever bring my guitar to play for fun in Central Park, or anywhere else in NY. Talented dudes like this!

  • wow i saw this guy, he's awesome

  • that man needs no money hes got everything he will ever need his whole life in his hands music is a beautiful thing

  • some food?

  • someone throw him some money you ingorant rats. He's a genius!

  • You would give him money because you enjoyed the music he played and think he should recieve some monetary reward for giving you joy.

  • SkunkyBeaumont's reply is exactly the reason. He obviosly needs to eat and pay his way. It's better than pestering and begging for spare change. This guy has bothered his arse to actully do something respectable and he does it very well as far as I can see. That earns him kudos over you matey!

  • well..since it's "no difficult" and "all you have to do is remember their order" why don't you try to play what he just played..i bet it takes you a lot longer than 1 day...you'll probably never be able to play like that! unless you know........ you wanna prove everyone wrong and post a video of you doing it.conclusion:stfu

  • ha, if Bach was alive he would multimillionarie.. and dudes like the one in the video would still make make some few dollars playing the master. I dont see your point c0dx.

  • If I were J.S. I would be so proud. Nice environment and well played!
