@MsJeroen12 I did not make this blade, but I would estimate that it is variable. If you want the blade to be sensitive, coming out with the slightest flick, then you would make the trigger wire shorter. If you want the blade to be less sensitive, requiring more effort and slightly more time to draw it out, but also preventing accidental draws, than you would increase it's length. The rang of length, I would say, would depend on you finger length and such.

This is better looking than others, works JUST as well, but is A HELL lot simpler! All these other tutorials have drills and nails and bolts and slides, but you've just simplified it all! Great job, all I need are the tubes and some old scissors... Should be cheap.

What type of string did you use to do that because I was able to make two more hidden blades just like that one you have and I've had trouble figuring out what type of string to use and figured out that what worked the best for me was copper wire but it's too noisy

The copper part with the blade was really wobbly so I shortened it some and tried again but it was still wobbly and I couldn't get the locking mechanism just right, it was always too loose or too tight.. I tried to get it right for about an hour or 2 but, it came to the point that it was so loose and wobbly that it became unpredictable and I couldn't tell when it was going to slide out or not, so I finally decided, after about an hour of readjusting, that it was too dangerous and threw it out.

I just got done trying it again but it is still not working as good as it looks in the video. When I tried to build it, the copper part with the blade is still not working right it is either not coming out at all or flying out of the container. I'm wondering if you did a step that you did not explain in the tutorial or you just didn't detail enough what to do in the steps that you gave us? and again I have tried to make it with this tutorial 3 times now and I have followed the steps carefully...

Good tutorial. Ive made several mostly with drawer slides. They have a variety of release and locks but this looks easiest and looks good.

Heyy man, final product looks good but the main idea is flawed.. the blade does not actually have a locking mechanism, if i "stab" a person with this, the blade will go bacl into the copper tube. The blade should be spring loaded and have a trigger mechanism that is attached to one of your fingers which triggers the catch which releases a spring. but that is just how it is made in the game.. and hwere did you get the soundtrack? i know it is from Assasins Creed 2 but where was it downloaded? Ry

@chosenangelx Well, you can use a shorter and stronger wire to keep the blade in place if you want to "stab" someone. Keeping the keyring on your finger while stabbing something/someone will keep the blade from falling back intothe copper tube... that's just an idea.
