    Cheers

    Nevada Music

  • If you don't buy this at £30 you are probably slightly retarded.

  • Seriously impressed guys, definitely going to buy this! One question though, does it run as a virtual instrument then it's a simple case of drag and drop like other pieces of virtual drum software that I shall not name. Well done guys! =D

  • @Guitarpat100 Yes, Eco runs as a Standalone application as well as VST, AU and RTAS cirtual instruments on both Mac and PC.

  • @FXpansion Thanks for the help guys, just bought ECO for the brilliant price of £29.39! Thanks for all the help! =D

  • INTEL MAC ONLY = YOU GUYS SUCK FOR NOT BEING MORE CLEAR ABOUT THIS.

  • @TearzGypsy It is clearly stated in the Minimum Requirements on our website. Sorry for your disappointment.

  • excelent..very useful..hpe u guys wil keep updating dis..in d future wid new sounds nd grooves..

den itl b an awesum buy..

  • Very good video! Thanks!

  • damn, this sounds great for a $30 program, gonna pick it up tomorrow

  • can You send the different drum-channels to audio-tracks in for example in cubase v.5 ??

  • @KlausKlokmose Yes, there are separate outputs for kick, snare, hihat, toms, cyms, percussion, overheads, room, aux1 and aux2.

  • does this work only in Mac?

  • @djang87 No it's Mac and PC, Standalone, VST, AU and RTAS.

  • @flatuswalrus Hi, within the plugin itself, you can't edit the grooves. However, you can create your own grooves by triggering Eco with midi, using a host such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic etc.

  • @FXpansion Thanks for the reply. I use Guitar Pro 5 as a drum machine but want something a little more realistic like this. Do you know of anything that is completely customizable?

  • @DanesGames If you want to edit the grooves directly from the program, then check out BFD2. BFD2 is BFD Eco's big brother.

  • @FXpansion Hey great review and demo. Do you know the file size of the program itself (Excluding the sample library) and if I could get that just by itself? I have a yamaha expansion pack for bfd and also a Jet expansion and I was wondering if I could use those. Hard disk real estate is valuable you know. Cheers mate. Thanks

  • HI, seems like a noob question but this can be used on my ekit as well right? :)

    thanks!

  • @danceoffAsh Hi, yes you can use it with any electronic drum kit. Eco comes with keymaps for most major e-drum kits, and making your own is easy too.

  • @danceoffAsh

Yes, as long as you have a way to connect the kit's MIDI signal to the computer. Some electronic drum brains have USB output for that purpose. If not, you'll most likely need a MIDI to USB interface or an audio interface with MIDI Input.

  • is this available on ipad?

  • Where i can download this?! :)

  • People that use bfd just havent found superior drummer.

  • @chocofantasia People that use Superior Drummer just can't use BFD 2 on their cpu.

  • @Erkyos That's a stupid thing to say. The choice is obvious, just listen to the samples, bfd sounds poor compared to SD2.0

  • @FormationOfficial Well I did listen to both of them. And I also know how to use both softwares, and I know how to mix a drum. Thus, I can tell you BFD2 is quite better.

And for the quality of pure samples, BFD2 is also quite better.

  • @Erkyos Just agree to disagree.

  • the better program is cubase to make up patterns of drums , rytmics, other

  • i just need a program i can use to create beats, whats the best program based on sound quality?

  • Nice video to get me started. BTW I asked this in xpansion forum but haven't gotten an answer yet. Is there a way to map a sound to a different channel that's not the default? For example move conga over to percussion so that I can use congas and snare at the same time? The conga is mapped to snare by default. I want to use both if possible.

  • Cool.

    thanx for the info.

saves me a lot of trial and error time.

  • thanx again for the info.

as a host, I mean, will it allow me to edit/customize grooves from bfd eco?

that is my goal, to be able to create my own grooves/patterns/rhythms.

    I usually use a DR-5, but it's a bit out dated.

    thanx.

  • @fpescobedo Yes, the grooves are MIDI files, so assuming your EnergyXT version can import and export MIDI, you'll be fine.

  • thanx for the info. next question.: my mixer, Behringer, came with software that included "energyXT". will this work as a host for bfd eco?

  • @fpescobedo it will indeed!

  • I'm new to this Eco BFD thing and all I'm trying to do is find out if I can create my own rhythms or am I stuck with just pre-sets. I tried asking the FXpansion site but no answer, plus it was a real pain in the A**. I'm beginning to think I bought the wrong product.

I am using BFD Eco as a stand alone.

    any info would be helpful.

  • @fpescobedo Eco does not have a groove editor built in. For that you would need our flagship product BFD2. If you have a host (such as Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic etc.) you could use Eco as a plugin and program your grooves in the host's midi editors.

  • @fpescobedo in addition to rozz3r's answer above - you can import "MIDI" grooves from other companies (if you're new to this you may get better results buying some to suit your style than programming your own) or use a free or low-cost "host" program like Reaper, GarageBand, Sequel or FL-Studio. Depends a bit on what style of music you're making & what you're trying to acheive!

  • This program is extremities, koćeš you tell me how to remove it for free?

  • Does this software by any chance allow you to import your prerecorded drum tracks into it and mix them using these effects?

And if not, do you know of any software that does?

    Thanks.

    -Nate

  • @HateNate88times sounds like what you need is a DAW - assuming your prerecorded drum tracks are multi-tracked? If your prerecorded drums are MIDI, BFD Eco will do the trick.

  • @FXpansion Yes, My drum tracks are multi tracked into 7 different tracks.

And thanks. I will look into it!

  • @FXpansion Oh, i actually just looked into that...I didnt know what DAW stood for...lol. But what I am actually using now is cubase 4 and my drums sound pretty good after i mix them down, But cubase 4 seems to be a little limited as far as effects that are appropriate for the acoustic drum sound. I just wanted to know if there was a program that could change the sound of each individual track, i guess to simulate a different drum set sound??

    Thanks

    -Nate

  • @HateNate88times What you need is a drum replacer, I think... google Drumagog, that's a good one.

  • @HateNate88times You could use BFD Eco in combination with something like Drumagog to actually change the individual kit piece sounds of pre-recorded multi-track drums.

  • is there anywhere where I can download for free?

  • @FixxxeR208 No. It's very inexpensive though - Sweetwater for example are doing it at $99 at the moment.

  • @FXpansion hmm, you mean it's cheap for 99$. c'mon, anyway, thanx for the info

  • @FixxxeR208 it's a heck of a lot of software for $99. You won't get more for less, not unless you steal it anyway.

  • noicce..they have PadKontrol as the key map...........mmm

  • Sounds foockin great !

  • Can you build your own patterns with BFD Eco?

  • @malamigorecords not within Eco itself, but if you're running it in a host i.e. Pro Tools, Reaper, Cubase, Sonar, Logic etc. you can.

  • Is this a BFD Nano successor? Cause I used to want to buy BFD Nano because of its price, now it's gone. What's the difference between them?

    Thanks.

  • @JiTiAr35 Hi, this was BFD Nano, it just had a name change.

  • Well I certainly understand your defending your product and I'm certain that everything works great now. Perhaps my issue was BFD as a RTAS plug back in the first few years the product was available.

    Good luck with ECO!

  • How many GB will it take?

  • @ransisua Eco comes with a 4 Gb library. 5 kicks, 6 snares, 12 toms, 3 hihats, 11 cymbals and selection of percussion.

  • I wonder if this will work better than the original BFD which was not very reliable. Sure with they'd of just gone with Kontakt.

  • @fishertheband I'm sorry if you had troubles in the past. There are tens of thousands of people using BFD and BFD2 everyday which I hope is a testament to their reliability. We pride ourselves on a stable product and we have an excellent support team there if there are any problems.
