  • @JPUPPY928 Me también

  • Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I love this song!!!

  • rught

  • What a great voice!

  • I associate this with Streets Of Fire, a forgotten 80's movie, because my 45 single of this had the movie art with Michael Pare on it. It sounded great on movie screen theater speakers. THanks for posting HQ - the live version bugs me.

  • it's a nice song. always loved hearing this in the 90s. Hartman was talented.

  • REST IN PEACE MR.DAN HARTMAN VERY HOTT SONG !

  • RIP DAN HARTMAN!

  • I love this song... : )

  • @candykhite1 Oh,shut up you low-life cracker,cave-beast...none of that bullshit here.

  • So very fine....

  • I concider myself so fortunate to have my childhood captured in time with such great tunes like this Dan Hartman classic. I feel sorry for young people today. The '80's were the best time to grow up!! Such good times (what the hell happened?)!!!!!!

  • @yada7777 I was born in '79 - I KNOW what you're talking about. I'm so glad I was born then.

  • @yada7777 ah lol! at "what the hell happened" ;-)

I grew up in the nineties and I thought that you guys "had it all" even then. like.. I mean "1994" I was gazing at the decade earlier back before almost anyone was. I'm glad for you all. It looked fun.

  • @yada7777 I was born in the 90s and i totally agree with you !

  • @yada7777 Gangsta rap happened. Along with out-of-the-stratosphere-greed and cynicism.

  • @yada7777 I was born in 1995 and can only listen to this great music and enjoy it. Such a shame I was born at the wrong time.. Totally agree with you, this is the best music there has ever been!

  • Great song from back in the day... Dan Hartman got his start back in the '70s with the Edgar Winter group - he wrote and sang "Free Ride". We miss him... as if we need another reason to find a cure for HIV.

As someone once said... if there's a rock and roll Heaven, they've got one hell of a band there.

  • @Thunda806

He used to hang out with my older brother in Harrisburg Pa growing up. He was a humble person with soo much talent. I have only fond memories of him. RIP. .

  • Buenos días a todos y para un buen inicio ...

  • Dan Hartman Rules!

  • Great song - they just don't make them like this anymore, and it is a great pity. Only concerned now with how much tits and ass they can cram into their next video clip!

  • thumbs up if you knew about this song long before Vice City Stories

  • @v3gadaViRuS BEST COMMENT THAT I HAVE EVER READ ON YOUTUBE!!!!!

  • when i was a kid i so thought this dude was black singing this. when i found out he was white i shit myself. Fucking Amazing!

  • @cyblur Yes, Dan Hartman is pretty fly for a white guy... ;) :D

  • @GrumpyBoy86 he died from aids in 85 too bad.huh.

  • i could always imagine prince doing this

  • yeeeeaaaaa if your under 25 jammin to this song lol :-)

  • Extremely underrated song.

  • @DPC1959 the movie is Equally under-rated.

The plot is really Great. How come Rotten Tomatoes rated it badly?

  • Just recently heard this on the radio. I had forgotten how good it sounded. Takes me back to my senior year in high school.

  • @raymesquite I hear you... Billy Vera & The Beaters "At This Moment" does similar for me. All I need to hear is that intro & I'm right back there... riding with my dad in car, on-way to pick-up my brother coming home from camp that night, listening to the radio before Reagan's address came on. I still hear the radio-man talking about how that "obscure" song went national on "Family Ties" then skyrocketed before he began playback of it. Wow....

  • This song came out after I had met someone years before...and when I first heard...it took my back to that time..WOW, and after 33 years I got connected to him on F B of all places! Its a good song and a Good memory...RIP Dan Hartman you may be gone..But this song will live forever!

  • This is a very cool song

  • This is one of those few, rare songs that give me that weird feeling...you know, that feeling that if I had some repressed memory of being molested as a child, it was probably to this song...

  • @MyCatsBreath ...May i beg your pardon?

  • @Berlanguista yeeeaaaa if you under 25 jammin to this lol

  • @Clayomayo Wat? It was a quote.

  • @PhillyCloud123 hahaha

  • hated the movie loved the music though.

  • I said this to a girl on the bus once and she slapped me. I can dream about you, Dan Hartman - Lionel Makepeace Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories

  • LOl I never knew this was a white guy!!!!! GREAT SONG!

  • @ThePeteMossShow With the name Dan and Hartman?? Does that sound like a name a black person would have??? I have met TONS of black people in my life so far and never one named DAN!....lol

  • @mnc51 LOL very good point, never thought about that, I remember this song from a movie, cant remember name, but seem like this song was in it and maybe Morris day in the movie, streets of something maybe, 80s movie lol

  • @ThePeteMossShow

"Streets of Fire" was the movie. . .And no Morris Day. . .

terrible mocie. . .but the soundtrack was great because of this single!

  • @Bigz568 LOL thanks, been trying to remember that movie

  • one of my favorite songs in the whole world! - we miss you dan!

  • Thank you! This is one of my " love it to pieces favs". And your sound quality is tops!!

  • The intro should have been longer...

The melody and singing is to nice to come so early on in the song (0:38)

  • Great song.

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world, but to lose his own soul?

  • @seamusodaltoon

i hear u there my man, greay white buffalo!!!

happens to many of us x

  • Cracking song

  • My all time favorite song......I may be showing my age but i asked a guy at the store to hold the 45 for me cause i left my wallet at home and just had to have it.....Dan could rock it out!!!!!

  • 80's rock my world

  • One of those cross Atlantic hits that took months to catch on over in Europe. Ahit in the UK 25 years ago this month.

  • man he was a real talent~!

we danced to his music in the night clubs when his songs hit.

and later played his music at partys as mobile D~JAYS.

Funny my brother LOVED his music. they were both Sagatarius born in December.

    must be something there.

his timeless talent IS a piece of my life.

    RIP Dan

    David~

  • Sorry to burst your bubble - but thats what science is for - your bro and Dan were both sagitarius born in september by complete chance - and its not even unlikely - theres only 12 star signs - that means everyone in USA is born in same month as 25 million other Americans. The chances of 1 of those 25 million being a personal celebrity is almost 1oo%

  • @DocBrewster Sagitarius Nov 22 - Dec 21 check your calendar.

  • Summer '84. Right before we moved from Wisconsin to Virginia. I was not happy about that at all. However, I do LOVE this song.

  • Wow! Summer of '84 cruising in my Z28 with my first love holding my hand... windows down and this tune blaring! Heaven should be so good!! Awesome!!

  • I love this song....

  • Here's a song that can bring tears to my eyes, quicker than any 80's tune. I was in my mid 20's, when this came out, and, it makes me think back when this was popular, and how my life was happier, and I was younger. Its just one of the best 80's tunes, ever recorded.

  • I understand how you feel. This song brings me pain in my heart. I miss my childhood so much. I was young and happy in the 1980's. How I wish I can go back and relive that era again. I miss my young life.

  • Can someone PLEASE invent time travel!!

  • I can dream about going back to those days....

Great song, artist, and movie! RIP, Dan. Thanks for the memories.

  • One of the greatest tunes of all time!

  • @LawrenceLugar1 ....I argee! Nice keyboards and killer guitar chops!

  • This song is my all time favorite. It takes me back to the happiest time of my life. I will NEVER forget you C.S. ! I CAN dream about you!

  • So many as so few that have sailed passed the Disco-Pop era with such talent and timeless impact as Dan Hartman. Never ever forgotten......................

  • I'm crasy about this song!!!!

  • It's easy to see why some people think this was Hall & Oates. In fact, Hartman was friends with H&O, and they did an excellent cover of this tune as a tribute to Dan, after he died.

  • a classic <3 May this song live through the generations to be appreciated for what it is..

  • ~~~I can dream!!!~~~...wooo woooo wooo

  • This Hartman at his finest, it would climb to the # 6 spot on the billboard chart in 1984 and in my opinion should have gone to the very top. We lost him way too soon in 1994 but he left behind a legacy that will long live on. What a talent and what they say about the good dying young is so true, R.I.P our dear Danny!!!

  • @theloveman11378 Yea I love this song. It brings back so many memories of the best time in music and video! I didnt realize he had passed. God we have so many of the great singers of the eighties that I always thought would be around that are gone now.
