The V6 lacks overall power, but it does have quick acceleration, easily going from 55 to 90 without effort, very smooth and gets to 90 quickly. The car corners like a champ. Comfortable, with ergonomic controls.
The V8 is an eye-opening wow! have pinned passengers against their seats. The quiet, sedan look masks a powerful and responsive performance automobile. Got it up to 145mph.

yeah i really dont get people who are hating on hyundai. yeah there cars weren't great before, but look how much they have improved. i would defiantly consider this car, and it got really good reviews. i would say hyundai is right up there with other major car companies. and i would say the cars that are the farthest behind now are american cars. i mean sure if i can afford a mercedes,ill buy that over this. but alot of people cant afford an S class, so luxury for less.
my current hyundai elantra is 8 years old, still runs like new and looks like new, haters saying that the genesis will only last 2 years are full of crap themselves, hyundais are very reliable cars,yes they where crap in the 80's and early 90's but in todays world they are the 5th largest auto builder and one of the most reliable companys. funny no i live in center city philadelphia and no one has touched my TL type-S or my old RSX. i don't care if there are more expensive cars out there. (i've driven a ferrari 360M and even a BMW M3) i love the sound and feel of the V-TEC engine. the resale value, comfort, fit and finish, all for a reasonable price. no car company can beat that. so even if the genesis is better i'll still buy a Acura. it's brand loyalty you wouldn't understand.

yeah i really dont get people who are hating on hyundai. yeah there cars weren't great before, but look how much they have improved. i would defiantly consider this car, and it got really good reviews. i would say hyundai is right up there with other major car companies. and i would say the cars that are the farthest behind now are american cars. i mean sure if i can afford a mercedes,ill buy that over this. but alot of people cant afford an S class, so luxury for less.

my current hyundai elantra is 8 years old, still runs like new and looks like new, haters saying that the genesis will only last 2 years are full of crap themselves, hyundais are very reliable cars,yes they where crap in the 80's and early 90's but in todays world they are the 5th largest auto builder and one of the most reliable companys. I would buy a hyundai over any american car company too. american cars have alot to catch up.

funny no i live in center city philadelphia and no one has touched my TL type-S or my old RSX. i don't care if there are more expensive cars out there. (i've driven a ferrari 360M and even a BMW M3) i love the sound and feel of the V-TEC engine. the resale value, comfort, fit and finish, all for a reasonable price. no car company can beat that. so even if the genesis is better i'll still buy a Acura. it's brand loyalty you wouldn't understand.

Actually, that's the question for Japenis since they are always obsessed with comparing themselves to other countries. almost 80% of the articles in Jap newspapers are about comparisons of Japan against other countries. Newpapers in Korea, USA , China and other mature countries don't do that because doing so indicates that the country has a very severe inferiority complex against other nations. Japan is famous for doing that. They always obsess about whether they are # 1 at something.

They have came long way from Excels, it looks like with the launch of Genesis they will be passing many cars made by rednecks. By the rate they are improving, It looks like they will be on par with re-badged Daihatsu and Datsun very soon. Now change that Hyundai name to Genesis, open up some showrooms with fountains, hire arrogant salesmen and start over charging for the cars, parts and the services. Then Hyundai will be on par with many European and Japanese luxuries with in next 5 years.
