the Philippine air force still have the rights for this "Cali Super Pinto T-610" it was 1978 when former president marcos buy it after AJI upgrade it in 1968, sad to say the project is still not working. may be this is the time for Philippine air force to re-visit this project to produce and manufacture the "CALI" to have an air defense light air craft for external territorial patrol and co-in assault for internal military problem.
It's painted in US Navy colors. NAVAIR (Patuxent River, MD) evaluated the plane back in the '50s but it was extremely under powered when it had the J-69 engine in it. I believe these aircraft were manufactured in Texas, USA at the Temco plant. Data tags say "Temco" on them.
It simple if all the philipino on the philippine vote all the politician on the army back ground maybe an example like Emilio Agunaldo.
The pilipino try that way by voteng Videl Ramos but the problem still only Fidel Ramos is the only army back ground other is just the same no love or no leader shjip trineeng on the army
The problem lies beneath the clandestined politicians supporting the Communist, they simply do not want the Philippine government to have new and sophisticated military equipment which consequently be used against their buddies CPP/NDF parties.
Still a few, Dillon has one, Buddy Laziar indy car driver has one, Mike Couch had two, creamed one, Skip Mancibo had a j-69 powered one, I tried like hell to get one years ago, , no one will let go of them. Best performance of a light trainer pound for pound anywhere. Very rare, hard to jet. Just watch this one go, F-16 pound for pound performance on a budget.
This particular Pinto may still be owned & flown by Mike Dillon. He has written several articles for aviation magazines, notably "Air Progress". One of his articles was a report on the Pinto Jet in the March 1969 issue. This particular plane was the subject of a Jan. 1989 Air Progress article by Gene Smith, only this time Mr. Dillon was the owner giving a writer a ride in his aircraft, not the other way around 20 years prior.

The flying Pinto I like is the AVE Mizar. Check out the videos, but they wouldn't stand up too well to combat.
