hey if you want to get your son something he will really like get him a electric buggy. get a associated B4 there amazing. I have a factory kit with a mamba maxx and carbon fiber everything but there a great way to eccel your sons driving abilities they are much harder to drive its not all point and shoot so you learn percision driving
ok, those 3.3 engines are pretty hard to tune. i got one in my t-maxx and could never get it tuned right but not so long ago i got a 1:10 touring with a .15 in it, got it tuned and ready to got in only half an hour, easy as
If you start off at the base settings (in the manual) and go from there it is not that hard.. there is a video here, search for "traxass tune" that shows how to do it. and of course the tuning changes each time you go out relating to the weather

yer ive done all that but i also had some other factors such as a crap pipe and a very over revved engine
