That was pretty cool, i wished i'd started doing a machinima in halo 3, but i've decided to do a series in halo reach with a couple of mates :)

You need to put a bit more effort into your voice acting, like, feeling and all that. Make it sound realistic, but not too overdone. Also, don't use 'military speech' too often. It's not like every officer says anything like that. 'Cease fire' could easily be simply 'stop shooting'. Nothing too formal.

not that i know of. that's pretty much what a capture card does. i don't even think there are any ports to plug the xbox into, and either way, you'd need some sort of program to show the game screen and record it, both of which a capture card will do

Very good story, the filming is good but the voice acting could use some work. You should download audacity and lower or raise the pitch of some of the characters at least. Or you can find some people to help voice.

the capture card i use is called Dazzle Video Creator Plus. it costs about $100. it may seem like a lot, but it comes with pinnacle studios 12 that you can use for video editing. its a good setup. to me dazle seems to make a decent capture card

I like this series.. You should of made the storyline, the humans and Elites find a Forerunner Construct and decide to set up colonies on it.. instead of it building built by them. Something more believeable.

well yeah, but here's the thing:

the reason why i chose that they built them in a different storyline other that the halo storyline is because it seems like EVERYONE copies the halo series in some way (other than the video being acted out in the game). using a form of the halo storyline to me copies the halo idea and takes the creativity value out of it.

i understand where your coming from and in a way i agree, but this way gives me more of a personal sense of worth

my next one doesn't just have more angles, it NEEDS more angles for the scenes, so that's getting better as i go along. as for the dialogue, in this one, there wasn't really supposed to be that much gunfire or anything, just conversations, which in a way made it boring, but the next one will be improved greatly in that sense
