Man, I know I've told you before, but I've been watching your vids for 3 years now.. and your still one of my main inspirations to get up in the morning. Pwnin' !!!
@Joymax If they paid me for 3 weeks of training I might have considered it! :D No, not vector. It's selling windows and siding (and some other home improvement stuff). The appointments are prearranged. I go in, do my song and dance, and sign people up (in theory anyway, we'll what happens... :) )
I'm Schizoaffective-Bipolar type, in addiction to taking Depakote ER (which I take the generic version of that med too). I take Invega. Those are the only 2 meds that kept me "stable" or "normal" going on 4 years now. I find your videos on this subject helpful. Ever since I was diagnosed @ 18. I had 3 episodes. I make sure to take the meds even if I'm feeling normal.
@kooljam05 Yeah. It seems that the whole point of taking the meds regularly is so that 1. You're body gets used to them and you feel yourself and 2. They're in your system for when you start to "spiral." That's why I ended up in the hospital so many times. I'd start feeling normal and be like "I don't need this stuff anymore." Then 1 or 2 years later BAM hospital. :P
@miltownkid Exactly, because between my 2nd and 3rd episode was so close because I wasn't taking any meds at all. But the downside I found to taking Depakote, I've gained weight and finding it difficult to lose. After the 1st episode I took meds for 2 months then stopped was good for 2 years, lost the weight and everything. But my main fear is stopping meds again is ending back in the hospital. There has to be other alternatives besides taking pills each day of your life.?!
@kooljam05 If weigh gain is a problem I would suggest lowering your dosage (with your doctors help). You (we) also have to make more of an effort to work out, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I TOTALLY think there's a better way, but it involves a "chillaxed" lifestyle, something hard to do at this stage in life. What I've decided is to "get my shit together" (lots of money in the bank, house, etc.) then seek alternatives a little later in life (5-10 years from now). I fell your pain. :P
Im glad to see you back Miltown, never a dull day! Will be keeping an eye open for your videos now that i know your back on the INTERNETS! Peace out, and take care!
