Unless these cutscenes are largely flashbacks, it seems the producers have definitely replaced much of Noctis's facial features. In the more recently released trailers he looks older and grimmer as compared to his more modest and curious appearance seen here.
As far as similarities to Sasuke go, it's almost as if they've been keeping up with the series. As Sasuke turns into more of an ass, Noctis's appearance changes likewise.
i saw the gameplay i have to say its AWESOME it has jump botton an attack botton not like ff XIII that u need to go near the animal and u need to chose stuff to attack its like GOD and by the way this game has blood :P
Oh hell yeah, this will be better than FF13 (one with Lightning). Versus has blood and is for the more hardcore gamers. Haha. The story/plot is definitely going to be a lot better too.. FF13 was kind of boring, but FF13X2 looks good.
Ugh, when is THIS final fantasy coming out?!?! I've played the FF13 (my bf brought it for me knowing I like ff for the xbox) with Lightning and I didn't even finish it cause I was so bored!! From the very start, I thought this one looked WAY better then the original ff13. If this one does end up better, I'll laugh, cause this isn't even in the main part, the one with Lightning was and it failed imo. XD this one better come to Australia!!

@nikolajuk478 When I saw clips of the game play it looked a lot like kingdom hearts. Not that thats bad or anything, I loved the kingdom hearts system. :)
@Varsuvias I really liked the kingdom of hearts too, but I don't want something like push button on controller and then the character does the movement. I want to actually press (xbox 360 controller example) x and y for the attack buttons and a for jump. You know? Make it more exciting. The game would get 10/10 ratings if they did that.

@Karma3500 Cut scenes don't make a game, even if the art was stellar, that doesn't compensate for the game play and plot. And even if a lot of work was put into it, should we still buy and play it out of pity?

When I heard FFXIII was coming out i told myself I was buying it specifically for plot and storyline and stuff. The gameplay aspect was secondary in my mind(yea I know that sounds stupid). On top of that I'm not really a hardcore rpg fan so my expectations weren't nearly as high as yours probably.

@NaziriHakikat i wouldn't call it a complete fail. all your mentioning is gameplay. besides not everyone likes random encounters especially if its consistently annoying. true enough the game play was linear and the leveling system even after unlocking all the jobs would be a waste of time getting weak buffs. but Square is still the master of CG any day! the character expressions were very real and their maturing throughout the story was emotional. so suck it up and get with the times!

@gerb234 This game actually has NO relevance to Final Fantasy XIII. It is a completely different game. It might as well have been called Final Fantasy 15. Unfortuantely, it couldn't be called that, because the gameplay is going to be action oriented in the same way Kingdom Hearts is and it's the same director of Kingdom Hearts, so it couldn't be part of the main series. I don't see the logic behind the title of this game, but I do like it.

@gerb234 Actually, the engagement of battle has STILL not being discust. But it's been announced that you can drive a car in this game. Also other forms of transportation and according to the director, the world in this game is going to be HUGE! It's a lot more complicated than Kingdom Hearts, but the battles should be similar.
As far as a release date goes....there has been no announcement. There isn't even any gameplay videos to this game yet. I just hope it comes out in 2011.
I think the first trailer for Versus XIII came out three years ago...Mr. Nomura must enjoy building tensions amoungst fans.

this is a great trailer but could have done without the music to be honest i kinda wanted to hear the game T.T don't get me wrong its a damn good tune, but kinda sux there's 2 many AMV's out and not enough just normal gameplay/game footage without user added tunes

@gerb234 This game actually has NO relevance to Final Fantasy XIII. It is a completely different game. It might as well have been called Final Fantasy 15. Unfortuantely, it couldn't be called that, because the gameplay is going to be action oriented in the same way Kingdom Hearts is and it's the same director of Kingdom Hearts, so it couldn't be part of the main series. I don't see the logic behind the title of this game, but I do like it.

@gerb234 Actually, the engagement of battle has STILL not being discust. But it's been announced that you can drive a car in this game. Also other forms of transportation and according to the director, the world in this game is going to be HUGE! It's a lot more complicated than Kingdom Hearts, but the battles should be similar.
As far as a release date goes....there has been no announcement. There isn't even any gameplay videos to this game yet. I just hope it comes out in 2011.

just read some interesting info on the game...
you get an airship and can travel anywhere except in mountain areas.
a lot of the terrain is destructible
the battle scenes are amazing
and this AMV is, supposedly, the graphics of the game
nice to know that the game sounds awesome already

I think the first trailer for Versus XIII came out three years ago...Mr. Nomura must enjoy building tensions amoungst fans.
