Didn't you just expose you brand new stock by loading it in the light?

No, actually the film is in a daylight spool that protects the film, so only the first few feet will be exposed.

I really love Bolex camera, this was a nice little tutorial , I used to do this in a bag to prevent any accidental exposure, unloading it like this too.

2 minutes and 32 seconds on youtube is equivalent to one semester at CSUN, CTVA 250. except I learned that you need to cut the film at an angle here.
