@judithbjini - the show also tanked in germany because of the terrible effect german voice dubbing has on american humor. The first time I watched scrubs in proper english I almost died of shock at how actually funny it was! American shows rely A LOT on the tone/accent of what is being said :)

It's no wonder this show tanked in Germany -- the references (e.g. the perfect star wars fanatic voice she does, jackie jormp-jomp, etc.) are too obscure and the humor is too many steps ahead. But if you're lucky/self-aware/culturally in-tune enough to get the jokes, this is the funniest show on TV today. maybe ever.

Yeah, the show got like, what, 8 million viewers at best with season 3. That's way less than it deserves.

@skylineboi86 Oh cmon! Its hardly underrated. Its gotten so many awards and accolades so its been rightfully recognized. 'Parks and Recreation' or 'Pushing Daisies' are underrated. Those are shows that have never got their due.

@OneMoreMezzo Seriously give Parks and Recreation a shot. It's first season was a misfire. Even i'll agree with that. But so was The Office. And like the Office its really bloomed into one of tv's best comedies in its second season. The Amy Poehler as Michael Scott was a problem i had with the first season. Thats completely changed with season 2 where she's nothing like Michael. And its really differentiated itself from The Office by portraying a small town govt. and people.
