  • Nice Jobb!

My Teacher Shoewd This To Us!

    Good Jobb!

  • Your r rretard

  • This was great, I teach a class of children who have learning difficulties and I will use this to help support the information in our reading series. Thank you!!!!

  • You did a great job! I just wanted to comment on your keel boat. The current of the missouri riiver was to strong from them to paddle the whole way infact the drug the keel boat through the water the majority of the way!

  • I'm sure it took a lot of work to accomplish this, but be sure that the effect is GREAT!!!

  • isnt it pronounced Sac-a-ja-we-a?

  • That's the modern American pronunciation of it. The true Native American pronunciation is what is stated in the video.

  • HI .. can you please write out phonically the way to properly say sacagawea? I have forever thought it was Sac-a-ja-we-a .. I now know this is incorrect. PLease when you have a moment, can you spell it out phonically for me? Kiitos :)

  • I thought the same thing as you .. I have for so long that now it is going to be difficult to remember it this "new" original..and true way ..

  • Wow! This is amazing! My students are going to love this!

  • Wow only one month to do this. it would have probably taken me 3.

  • currently i have to do a map about the lewis and clark trail through a modern day state. but did you have to do this video and did you already worked on this when it was assigned?

  • 4:34 ....

  • he had a dog named semen

  • Hilarious, isn't it?

  • seaman isn't it?

  • thank you so much.

    this was very helpful.

  • hahahah

  • Great job Sarah!

  • Very good animation and research!

  • I hope you received some special scholarship to a film school or the like..... it was very well done.

  • Is it okay if I show my students this?

  • You're free to use it for all educational purposes. :D

  • holy crap that was frickin awesome. Nice work and you should get better than an A+ gosh that was amazing

  • wow that was abosultly amazing

  • I homeschool my kids, and we just finished the section in my son's textbook on Lewis and Clark. Impulsively, I decided to look for the old Schoolhouse Rock video on the Louisiana Purchase. Found your video by accident, Sarah, and boy am I glad I did. It was perfect!! It really cemented the lesson for my son, and as he likes to make films, too, he especially enjoyed seeing all your creativity. Excellent, excellent!

  • Thank you so much! I'm really glad you and your son enjoyed it. It's great he liked the creativity of the video... and if he wants to do more film making, suggest that he give a shot at a short little stop animation! It's difficult at first and takes lots of patience, but once you get the hand of it, it's worth it! :D

  • Very good job Sarah: as a history teacher I would give you a definite A plus for this work. I noticed you included York in your cast list but there was no mention of him in your video. He was the only black member of the expedition and many of the Indian people were fascinated by his dark skin that they compared to buffalo. Also there was one death of a crew member during the trip by illness.

It is so great that students today have so many ways to express themselves and do such great work.

  • Thank you for the nice comment! I actually had researched about York and the crew member who died (I believed they named the hill "Pikes Peak" after burying him there...). I was hoping to include this information in my animation, but time was limited and I only had a month to finish the project. I never had the chance to fit them into the story. :[

  • Also in Montana, not far from Billings, is Pompey's Pillar (some people spell it Pompei) named after little Pomp. William Clark left his signature on the pillar which can still be viewed to this day. This happened on the return trip as Lewis and Clark split up for a period of time to do some extra exploring. :)

  • Right, I think I remember that in my research. Thank you for refreshing my memory. :]

  • they named the hill floyd's bluff

  • WOW good job u must be reallllly smart!

  • Definitely A+ material! Very creative and I particularly loved your use of (what appears to be) Saran Wrap for the water and smoke effects! Your choice of music was also tops! In reference to magana's remark about proper pronunciation of Sacagawea's name...If National Geographic, in "The Great Journey West," use this pronunciation, I'll take that as the proper way. I was happy to hear you use it that was as well! Just excellent all the way and factual and entertaining too! Did I say A++++?

  • Thank you so much! Yes, it was Saran Wrap for water and blue construction paper underneath. Also, the smoke was made from cotton on a Q-tip. Ever except simple items like to be used in such a creative way? Haha.

Again, thank you for the positive comment. :] It's greatly appreciated.

  • What I meant to say in the last sentence is "Did you ever expect simple items like that to be used in such a creative way?"

  • William Clark Is one of my ancestors also. He's on my family tree.

  • This was kinda boring but it gave me some information!

  • what's not really fair about this video is that in the first 30 seconds, you completely debunk my Lewis and Clark video with all of your "facts". So you guys did your research, show offs... check out mine, you'll discover the true story...

  • Actually that is the correct way to pronounce it. Most of us learned the "Americanized" version of it.

  • @york1806 What is the corrent way to pronounce what?

  • I love this little play. It's so funny and good history. Sacagawea is my favorite.

  • I just wanted to say what a wonderful job you did. I'm a descendent of William Clark, and I think that granddad would be thrilled with your presentation of his journey. Also, you did in fact pronounce Sacagawea's name correctly. It is how the Native tribes pronounce her name.

  • Wow! It's an honor to have one of Clark's relatives to see this! Thanks so much for the comment. =D

  • "Granddad?"

  • Clark is my great-great-great-great-great grandfather

  • It's cool to find another descendant of William Clark. That's soo cool. He's related to us on my Father's side of the family. He's on my family tree.

  • A+ good job

  • thank you i love you, i just copied this entire thing for my report

  • Thanks for commenting. If you copied the video for your report, I hope you give me credit by copying the URL to this video.

    -Sarah

  • Very cool! Keep it up.

  • wait....what di you say his dogs name was O_o

Very good. You should keep up your claymation skills. you very good and that could be useful XD

  • but you pronounced sacagawea name wrong.

    sak-a-je-wee-a

Is the correct way i think.

again I'll point out how awsome this is! You are so amizing with your clayness!...

  • Thanks for the comment!

The dogs name was Seaman. And I know I pronounced Sacagawea's name that way, but apparently that's way the Shoshone's pronounced it.

  • Wow! Sarah, you should consider film school! I teach fourth grade, and plan to use your video in my classroom next year. You are an inspiration to me, and I hope to my students, as well. I look forward to seeing more from you.

  • I think you spent too much time on it, i got an A and i did the project the night before it was due, but it's still really good.(You should know who this is)

  • This is awesome! Great claymation! We homeschool and this was a lot better then reading some text book.

Keep up the good work! 5***** all the way!

  • You did a really great job. Your claymation was excellent, and I agree the plastic wrap for water was a great idea.

  • That was really good! You should really be a film maker, or clay sculptor or something when you grow up. You can tell you put a lot of effort into this!

Sidenote: I especially liked the bear chase. :D, although a lot of the effects in other parts were cool.

  • It seems to me like you have a real talent for this sort of thing. It doesn`t surprise me that you got an A+. How`d you do the smoke effect? Cotton?

  • Thanks for the comment! You're right, I used cotton from the end of a Q-tip.

  • You put a lot of hard work into this. The use of plastic wrap for water was really clever. I hope we Great job--hope you got an A+!

  • Nice work! The claymation is incredible.
