  • That's big enough to unclog my toilet!

  • the biggest bucket is 40 cubic meter. that's not big, no, that's HUGE!!!

  • how is this excavator powered is it diesel or electric it sounds like a diesel im not sure though the sound of the cylinders going down is cool you can hear it clear as day hydraulics on it must be awesome

  • this one as big as the liebhrerr 996?

  • @rotortilttt - its a lot bigger - 996 is not quite 600t with most combinations although just tips that with a long reach. BA1100 is meant to be about 1100t I believe although this will also varu with different combinations. Examples of the 996 as BHD's are New Your (Great Lakes), Pinocchio (Deme - formerly Toshka), Turacava (sank when first purchased by Boskalis some years back)

  • the D8R is a dozer.

  • @supershy13079 - no - its a bucket wheel excavator!

  • the V Cat D8R is the biggest excavator in the world.

  • This is a beautiful setup

  • This one has a 'bucket' of 25m³.

Now they have 40m³ big ones...

  • Filmpje van leon x')

    Pascal.

  • it may be the bigest but not the first marine excavator.

  • Can you specify a job specific _excavator_ designed solely for marine usage? The backacter is the first built only with this use in mind.

Leihberr have 994/864's etc with an angled boom for achieving max depth below the machine in a marine operation, but it's only an adaptation of an existing piece of plant. Demag are in the same boat.

There are plenty of dippendredgers designed with grab arms/buckets that can be used with an excavator bucket, but this does not make them a marine excavator.

  • yes dredge new york Leihberr 996.

  • @Nemonicks - agreed, but Liebher of Demag do not us an angled boom for maximum dig depth - they are the same as a land machine - a cut on land is exactly the same as one underwater - the angles or parameters do not change. Liebherr add a 'P' to the number on excavators mounted to Pontoons but in actual fact there is no differnce at all. Demag (Komatsu) use the name Aquadigger but these are also the same e.g. Demag 285 Aquadigger is a rebadged PC3000. Dipper dredger is different to a BHD

  • its BIG

    XD

  • that is huge if it was a minig excavator it would be an rh400 size?

  • looke like the size of a mineing excavator.except the stick is shorter

  • @dozerdriver1962 - stick is always short on a mining excavator - this is the shortest combination you will get

  • nice device...
