I just finished reading this book last night -- it is AWESOME! I literally could not put it down. It reads like a great novel, it's so absorbing. The author does an amazing job of telling this story and the pages just fly by. I'm so glad I discovered this great video (a friend sent me the link). Would recommend the book to anyone who likes a good read.
I rushed out and bought the book too! What a terrible disappointment. It's so badly written. So awkward, clumsy and absolutely the opposite of this witty, exciting and beautiful 55secs of magic. The author has a degree from Columbia, but I guess someone has to scrape through as bottom of the class. Reading it is like climbing a steep muddy hill in lead boots.
The best intro ever to promote a birdbook. Should be on every birders facebook. I love this video. It is so simple - but yet VERY INTELLIGENT. Minimalistic design Ticking music with crescendo build-up in intensity and volume! GENIAL!
i love this book! it would make a great movie. i'll do the casting. call me.
