First wooden roller coaster I ever went on. I was there for the music department trip for my school. I'm in orchestra. When we were about to go I had a scared look on my face. (When we were about to start the ride.) Then the guy who sat next to me in orchestra yells from the line: "Hey! Whatever you do, don't pee your pants!" I replyed: "Ok......"with a scared look. xD

Apparently Hershey is going to rip out the lightening racer, It costs too much to run it all of the time. All of the money these assholes make?! Ridiculous. haha Although it would be nice if they actually built scarier coasters and something much newer. It would also be nice if they built more coasters that are much longer like the comet. (I live 10 minutes from Hershey Park)

@webkinzvideos13 No, it would be SUPER fun. It's a great rollercoaster for anyone. It's especially good for younger kids, or people who aren't the best with rollercoasters. Suprisingly smooth for being wooden, with fun hills that are just big enough to give you airtime, but not too big. :-)

I went on that ride 2 days ago, and I discovered that the restraining bar wouldn't keep me from lifting it. We were on the lift when it happened. we had seat belts, so we were fine, but nobody else knew until the end of the ride. That's when I showed everybody on the ride. Everybody else's lifted up too. The got stuck up. When we pulled into the station, the worker was speechless (literally, with a wide open mouth). That was the coolest thrill ever!

I remember we got stuck on this towards the end... and there was a big ass bee hive in that little roof! It was fun, though. If you've never been on a roller coaster before and really want to, this is good for beginners because it's not too crazy... but it's fast!

@42964a it's a simple coaster - if was my first. it's just up and down, and turning very slightly on the side. nothing particularly scary for someone used to coasters, just fast. it's good for the thrill of speed, and a good first coaster.

the comet is one of those coasters where Someone would ride it if they never rode a coaster in their life. its like a starter. take it like swimming. your first standing at the 3 feet. then mabe 4 feet. then your so ready or surprised you cant stand in the pool anymore so you have to swim. (Unless your really tall) So to all those people who never rode a roller coaster, make sure you ride this as a starter

The Comet is fun, I like Lightning Racer better though, that is just awesome. Comet has some airtime, like the Pheonix in Knoebels. If you like speed and highbank turns, Lightning Racer is cool. And as far as SAFE: Wooden coasters are very safe, weathering? As long as the beams flex and bend, its safe. Steel dont do this. If Steel would do that, something is WRONG. If Wood dont flex and bend, something is about to FAIL. Coasters are safter than riding in a car, if you look at accidents x person.
