I play since i was 8...to the point where i play Satriani music to warm up. But you actually are right i DON'T play rock...i play Jazz Fusion and metal fusion at clubs...If someone inspired Van Halen then it was a question of luvk that Van Halen came out...Nothing against Eddie, i just say they overrate him too fucking much, same for Slash and Randy Rhoads they're good but there are waay too many players better than them

I aggree with Slash and Randy Rhoads, but in my opinion, Eddie wasn't massively overrated (okay, almost everyone is, but hes not as overrated as slash). I think he inspired a massive amount of guitarists to play stuff like Eruption, which is no mean feat

I agree Eddie is far more worthy of respect than Randy or Slash but some people really take his skill wa too far...he was the most famous tapper and made it popular but some people call him one of the bests ever and that's just not true cuz i was dissapointed when i was 8 years old learning how to play guitar at how easy it was to play his stuff, and in every city in the world you can find an Eddie VanHalen wise in skill but i don't think he's even in the top 100...No offense to anyone
