That said, if they are metalcore, that shouldn't affect if people like them, nor does it mean they have to like the genre. I for one love Enter Shikari but cant stand the post-hardcore scene xD

And if you happen to not like something they do, then this just probably isn't your band to listen. Critizism's main idea is to say what you don't like, and what you should do different, and that's something a real band doesn't listen to, unless they want to become some money-ho mainstream band.
