I don't know how many of you guys interpret the show but I interpret it as life.

Life is crazy at first. Life is complicated and it makes you angry, sad and frustrated but through love, you find some answers. However, as human beings, we will never truly find out how everything ends until we die. In life there are some things we can never understand and it is up to us to guess, just like the ending of this show.

It was made clear that everything that happened on the island actually happened. Christian Shepard explained this. Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse explained this. The point of the ending was so that the "purgatory/afterlife" thing could be interpereted by the fans. Regardless, this is still a fantastic piece of music.

I find that this is my favorite out of the ENTIRE Lost Soundtrack collection. It's so beautiful, and the scene this coincides is one of the saddest scenes in the show. Heart wrenching when I think about what it'd be like to be in Shannon's shoes and hearing your brother just died. So sad. Giacchino is an amazing composer.

@temo95temo They survived the crash. Everything that happened on the Island really did happen. Some of them died during the series (Boone, Shannon, Sayid, Locke, Juliette, Sun, Jin, etc.) and others died after the primary events of the series (Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, Claire etc.) the final scene of the finale is set long into the future where everyone is dead so they can all be reunited in the afterlife.
