i just have a question: when it starts to work and everything is ready, will you be able to take control of the whole PC with the IR Pen, or only the special software? (will it be working like a normal mouse pointer?)

Right you control the normal mouse cursor (moving, left- and rightclick). So you can do everything what you can do with your mouse (except scrolling, like with the third mouse button).

Yes you need to press your ir-pen for one or two seconds, but dont move the cursor meanwhile. In the commercial version its even easier.

Generally its not important which webcam you use. But I would recommend at least 30FPS and a resolution of 320x240.

i seem to be having the same camera u have..

the lens can be easily removed.. but how did u remove the inner ir filter? it seems to be well glued or something.. and i dont want to break it.. that's why im asking if there's any method to remove it..

The surface of crts is made of glass or so, so it should reflect the ir light. I have no crt to test, but I think yes it should work!

it is possible to link a decent 12MP camera like a canon 450D (must have live view) to the PC so it is like a webcam (using the streaming to screen and then using screen capture software to create a ghost webcam). If there is a way of doing this so that the data is taken directly from the camera and not via a screen capture then this method would be really very effective because of the high resolution.Obviously it's expensive but if you already have the camera...

Yes this should work, if you can use your camera as kind of webcam via usb or so. Im not quite sure if the full resolution will be transfered and it will probably cost you more cpu, because of the big resolution.
