  • something about the tardis reminds me of the apollo 11.... i don't know why.

  • :3

  • first time doctor cryes aww

  • Isn't that Ten's old console?

  • A bed with a ladder you cant' beat that

  • This is so bittersweet. <3 Does anyone know if we find out about the only water in the forest is the river thingy? I cant remember if we found out what it means... or if its a metaphor... or what... anyone know?

  • @OliverTwist2013 it's a reference from another episode when it turns out that Amy pond's child is called melody but in another language it means river stating that river song is Amy's child

  • The pretty one?! XD

  • " Shut up not like that !" that sounded soooo childish ! x)

  • One thing that puzzles me about this episode is how the TARDIS can't communicate with its inhabitants. House was clearly able to talk to people in the ship. Even supposing that the TARDIS matrix is verbally challenged in some spacy way, there shouldn't be anything stopping it from being able to communicate in Morse code with the lights :P

  • @CaptainPositron If I were to try and explain my perception of it, and it is by no means cannon, I would surmise that its not a technical limitation that prevents the TARDIS from communicating, i.e. the speakers suck. I would say it her more to do with her state of being. When she is inside the TARDIS as a fully realized being in time, she is on another whole plane of existence that makes communication with ours difficult, if not impossible. In this body, she has been diminished.

  • House? House md in doctor who? wow...minds been blow!

  • of course The Doctor has a room....THE CONTROL ROOM!!!!

  • What if the Doctor were a woman?

  • Spacey Wacey :D

  • 8:27 no bunk baeds are cool, a bed...with a ladder...u can beat that.

    AWESOME LINE!!!

  • The only water in the forest is the river

    Oh spoilers -.o

  • What if the TARDIS had been put into a man's body?

  • @0gracefulgirl0 Then obviously the Doctro didn't wish hard enough.

  • I wanted to see the universe, so I stole a Time Lord and ran away <3

  • I just realized, the Doctor doesn't have a bed room because all of the bed rooms were just deleted.

  • "You can't catalogue something that hasn't happened yet!"

    "YOU can't!"

    Best line evar.

  • Truly one of the best episodes of DW ever.

  • at 4:11 -5:01 bad ass moment no one controls the doctors Tardis except him

  • 4:15 to 5:02 made my heart melt

  • Even though iris/tardis is only in one episode relationship between the doctor and river cannot compare I mean the doctor has been with that tardis for a very long time and he only met river like 2 seasons ago

  • Awww.... how sweet.

The doctor is crying, just like in 'The Doctor, The Widow, and the Wardrobe.

    How cute.

  • Bunk beds, fezzes and bow ties.

  • @nonasuom And stetsons.

  • @Xwaterwolf100X This is about a month old but still. I think he built a shell in this episode..it won't work remember? But his TARDIS was already there, so it worked.

  • Doctor and House. Hmm...

  • Crying. Right now.

  • @ThreePipeProblems

    So am I. :(

  • "Did you wish REALLY HARD"

    I was laughing.

  • that looks like the original

  • Anyone who says the show sucks now that Tennat has left, shut up and watch this episode.

  • @Samuel24842 Well to be fair I think Tennant would have been just as great in this episode as Smith was, but yes, Smith is an excellent Doctor and this is a great episode.

  • @nothri i'm not saying he wouldn't be, but people who refuse to watch it now that tennant left, they should watch episodes like this and realize that it still has moments of brilliance just as it had before. And yes tennant would be good in this, but I'm glad they gave this moment to Matt, to show just how amazing his Doctor is, because before we've seen bits and bobs of his brilliance but not quite as brilliant as this

  • @Samuel24842

Yes, i concur. And, Matt Smith is Cuter. Tennant is cute too, but not as cute as Smith.

  • She's a woman... and she's the TARDIS :D *poke poke*

  • i didnt wamt her to go eather

  • YOU BET IT'S YOUR NAME.

  • I love this episode! But, the TARDIS pulling by herself the lever at the end of episode means that Doctor gave her bigger ability to control herself? I haven`t watched all the episodes, so i don`t understand everything yet. Hope for fast answer.

Doctor Who the best show ever!

  • @doctorrzepa No, I don't think he gave the ability to control herself. Like she said, she always took him where he needed to go. She's always been able to control herself, but it wasn't until now that the Doctor fully understood the Tardis was alive and aware felt for him what he feels for her. It was her letting him know she was still there, still aware. That even though they couldn't talk, she was still with him, and she'd continue taking care of him.

  • @carmichaelsinclaire Now i get it, thanks :)

  • Bunkbeds are cool! A bed...with a ladder! You can't beat that!

  • Poor embarassed Doctor!

  • THE ONLY WATER IN THE RIVER IS THE FOREST!!!! OOH MY OOD! ITS MAKE SENSE NOW!!!!!!!!!! <3

  • @Trinitybloodlust Don't you mean 'the only water in the forest is the river'?

  • @YahiroYamaha LOL yeah, that is what was sapposed to say

  • It would be nice to have a time lord escape the bubble that could repair TARDIS and isn't a jerk.

  • Yo Doctor, we heard you like TARDISes, so we got yo TARDIS to help you build a TARDIS so you can go find yo stolen TARDIS with yo TARDIS in yo new TARDIS

  • "Oh, my beautiful idiot."

Only the TARDIS can compliment AND abuse the The Doctor at the same time.

  • "You're doing it again you sexy thing!!!"

"See you DO call me that! Is it my name?"

    "You BET its your name!"

    <3

  • Its always said that the TARDIS is like the Doctor's wife and she honestly is. River stands no chance compared to the TARDIS herself!!!!

  • You know, in lets Kill Hitler, when he's diying of the poison and talks with the voice interface, Am I the only one who thinks that the TARDIS was the one that let little Amy say "Fishfingers and custard"?

  • :'( Brings tears to my eyes..

  • I always cry when the tardis leaves the women and cant talk anymoe

  • "There's something I didn't get to say to you - Goodbye? - No. I just wanted to say hello. Hello Doctor. It's so very very nice to meet you" -- Certainly, one of my fav lines of the whole series.

  • Amy: Did you wish really Hard....?

    Doctor: ....YEP!!!

  • "Did you wish REALLY hard?"

  • I cry when the Doctor cries.

this is my favorite doctor who episode ever.

  • Awww!! She thinks the pretty one is Rory^^

  • @sprinklekitty Extra logic, if you think about it: Rory's a bit gawky and nerdy...just like the Doctor.

  • You bet Rory's the pretty one!

  • My favourite Eleventh Doctor episode. A Good Man Goes to War is a close second, but there's no way even River can compare to the relationship between the Doctor and the TARDIS.

  • "The only water in the forest is the River."

The foreshadowing to end all foreshadowing. This is why I love this series.

  • awesome episode :) unique idea!

  • Always love the barely audible 'i love you'.

  • @MegaAstroFan18 When's that?

  • @brozza981 Just as she fades.

  • "Finish him off, girl."

That line always gives me goosebumps. I love the idea of the TARDIS fighting off House for control of her ship. Fighting for her Doctor. It's just amazing.

  • love that the junk Tardis was a sphere of energy which was the original idea for the Tardis all those hundreds of years ago when DR WHO first started

  • XDDD ..."sexy one"

    "Is that my name?"

    "You BET it is!"

    XDDD <3

  • whats the number of this episode ?

  • awww cute facepoke at 3:58

  • Who knew the bitey mad lady from the TARDIS graveyard would make Whovians around the world cry...

  • my beautiful idiot. you've got me. LOL !!!!!!

  • Lol, IdrisTardis was checking her face out in the mirror. XD

  • The barely audible "I love you," at 6:39 has me weeping.

  • "The pretty one?"

    "No, no, that's Rory!"

  • "She's my TARDIS, and she's a woman!"

    "Did you wish really hard?"

    TROLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

  • @Xwaterwolf100X It was a Frankenstein Tardis. He took limbs and a torso from the Tardis graveyard and the human tardis supplied the brain and the spark of life. Remember, it didn't work until she did something to it.

  • 4:25-5:00 = epic

  • "You have what you've always had...you have me"

    Motherfucker!

    Why did she have to leave ;_;

  • If thats how that works I wonder if Call of Duty Black OPs will turn into a woman?

  • The doctor is so jealous she is calling Rory Pretty

  • I'm wondering if anyone else got the concept of Idris/TARDIS's Victorian appearance? I consider it a great homage to Williams Hartnell's role as the First Doctor.

  • oh gawd o_o

i never even remembered the line 'The only water in the forest is the river' from this episode.... i can't say it enough.... Moffat is a genius!!!!!!!

  • @ccmyp neil gaiman wrote this episode

  • @XsweetstarliteX he might have written it.... but that doesn't mean it hasn't been editted...

Moffat slipping in one line to help his plot doesn't seem too unlikely >_> ...

  • "Where shall we take the kids next?"

  • 6:37 you can hear her say 'i love you' IT'S BRILLIANT!

  • @FrazzlledCuRt117 I never noticed she said that. Thanks for pointing it out :)

  • @FrazzlledCuRt117 heheh i always wondered if i was the only one hearing that

  • Best. Episode. Ever.

  • The Doctor seems so excited. "She's the TARDIS?" "And she's a woman. She's a woman and she's my TARDIS."

Forget River and the Doctor, Idris (Sexy) and the Doctor.

  • @SeleneJessabelle1262 He wished REALLY hard.

  • TARDIS=British GLaDOS? But not evil?

  • i want some goggles like the ones at the end

  • You do call me that!

    lol

  • "....No..that's Rory."

    *seconds later*

    "The pretty one?"

    I love the Doctor lolXD

  • Yep, not even River can compete with the Doctor's longest serving companion; the TARDIS herself.

  • @MegaAstroFan18 She not a serving companion,she the boss.

Remember since the very first doctor, their been place's he never meant to go.

Yet he always goes, that because the tardis wants to go their, so she pulls him along.

  • You say goodbye... and I say hello...

  • Well, hello Lucian =]

  • I agree with the TARDIS, Rory is definitely the pretty one ;)

  • Really stupid question. What episode is this?

  • @Riounka The Doctor's Wife

  • @Riounka "The Doctor's Wife"

  • @Riounka Series 6 Episode 4: The Doctor's Wife. Written by Neil Gaiman, with Steven Moffat adding finishing touches.

  • "You Sexy Thing!" Ya gotta just love the doctor. :)

  • yay for 10th doctors tardis

  • Neil Gaiman for the win

  • I love it when he asks where the Doctor's room is, and it's just so...obvious

  • "can we lose the bunk beds this time"

"no bunk beds are cool. a bed with a lader"

  • "hello i'm... sexy"

    "still shut up"

  • "shes a women and a TARDIS"

    "did u wish really hard"

    "shut up not like that"

  • "Did you wish REALLY hard?"

  • How did they not go into Time Ram (ex. The Time Monster, BF's The Wormery) and destroy the universe when the two TARDISs occupied the same space and time?

  • "The only water in the forest is the river" !!!! Oh my god that's the first time that actually registers.

  • Why the fuck did you edit the video for??????? Everything is on the wrong side .. bloody stupid

  • @TheHutchhickersGuide Its to bypass copy rights. Bloody stupid.

  • "the pretty one?!"

  • IT'S A TARDIS INSIDE A TARDIS

  • @TheTenatDoctor TARDISCEPTION.

  • I wonder how long it took to rebuild the original Tardis after they blew it up and set it on fire, That was not special effects

  • 3:58 he's like such a little boy, "shut up!" like he's getting bothered by his family about the girl he likes.

  • @NikkiReiz His face, it is bovvered.

  • "pfff shut up, its not like that"

  • You must be a virgin.

  • Steve McDonald: The man who married the TARDIS.

  • How the hell did they have sex on a bunk bed?!

  • @1NEVBEAR1 according to Moffat's and Gaiman's Twitter (at roughly the same time as the other answered, scarily enough), on the ladder.

  • @FWTrump Oh I would love to see them try and put that on TV at 7pm!

  • @1NEVBEAR1 Ladder?

  • that actress is amazing. the one who plays idris/tardis

  • This is one of the only things I've really ever cried at :')

  • I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to cry. I'm not going to . . . Oh soddit.

  • The makeshift TARDIS runs on Windows Vista

  • Her parting words were "I love you"

  • thats ok that always happens haha

  • " Bigger on the inside! See, House. That's your problem. Size of a planet but inside you are just...SO..SMALL!"

I trying to figure out this is meant to imply that the size of the Tardis on the inside is (potentially) bigger than a planet, or if you can shrink something the size of a planet down into nothing inside the Tardis. Or is it both?

  • @nothri It is an entire dimension. It merely expends energy to create a hospitable place. You could, given enough power contain an entire galaxy.

  • @idgarad There's a story in Sandman that reminds me of this- the main character, Dream, defeats a powerful demon fairly easily by 'shrinking' it and trapping it in a bottle. He explains that the creature should not have challenged him in the heart of his realm, where reality is his to control. That's why I like this episode, it explores aspects of the Tardis in ways you suspected were always true but have never seen directly examined.

  • @nothri I believe what he was saying was that the House entity originally inhabited a planet-sized body before he took over the TARDIS.

  • @nothri I think it's more metaphorically bigger on the inside. House was a small-mided creature, concerned only with his own desires. The TARDIS can see all of time and space and with that awesome power chooses to send The Doctor to save the universe countless times.

  • @Artemis1988 If the tardis can see everything then why did she say "I dont know" when Rory asked her where they were going to land?

  • @themightyjoseph Good point. While Idris/Tardis/Sexy demonstrates near omnicence throughout the episode the 'I don't know' is badly inconsistent. However I'd sooner jam forks in my eyes than say that Neil Gaiman is a bad writer.

At a guess I'd say that the old control room is fairly symmetical, making it difficult to describe the point of entry from a first person perspective, especially when flying a Blue Peter TARDIS towards a rift in the universe.

  • @Artemis1988 BTW this is just my speculation I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on the inner mechanics of a sentient physics-bending time machine built by aliens. I failed that particular module at Uni :(

  • @Artemis1988 That or she simply saw that she said that and repeated what she said. Or saying where she would land would have causes Rory to say something out loud about her landing on Nephew, which would have caused House to somehow save Nephew.

  • Did you wish really hard?

  • whats the music called that starts at 4:23 ?

  • @dabhands44 "I Am The Doctor"

  • @dabhands44 I am the doctor, or every star, every planet

  • I laugh every time when Idris calls Rory the pretty one and the Doctor's voice goes all high pitched "the pretty one?!" makes my day every time!

  • 7:38 "the only water in the forest is the river"

:O Why didn't I pick up on that

  • @FI7productions Because we weren't met to. That's the beauty of Doctor Who.

  • I love 3:52 "Did you wish REALLY hard?" LMAO

  • Why is the footage reversed?

  • @ImagineWizard To circumvent copyright issues

  • "Hello Pretty!"

  • Comment removed

  • Did you wish very hard XD

  • anyone else pickup on the "I love you" at 6:38

  • "THE PRETTY ONE?"

  • The TARDIS is the only woman he could actually be with forever... it's no wonder he doesn't want her to go. 8C

  • "The only water in the forest is the River"

It's how I guessed who River was before AGMGTW

  • I wonder if David's coat is still in that room
