the waltz is taken from Petipa's ballet "La Perle", written for Tsar Nicholas II's coronation in 1896. Drigo wrote waltzes that could even rival Strauss.

This video was recorded during a Japan Tour in 1989 or 1990.

The ballet that you can see -at the beginning- here is exclusively danced by the Vaganova School (choreographed by K. Sergueiev, the previous director of Vaganova with his wife N. Dudinskaia). At the very end of the recording, we can see Sergueiev on stage, and his wife in the audience...

No doubt, this is Vaganova School.

oh ok the other reason i was confused was because I have seen Dudinskaya coach the Little Humpbacked Horse.. and it is NOT supposed 2 be performed the way those girls performed it... and the humpbaacked horse girls had such LOW technique i couldnt believe it was vaganova.

at the VERY end of the recording we NEVER see sergeyev its jus those girls... and the camera never shows the audience.
