thats not really near there but i wont argue, it was some crazy shit that day, i live out near the interstate west of huntsville, the phil campbell/harvest tornado destroyed the neighborhood next to mine, we didnt even know it was a tornado because it was so massive. but there was a ton of hail, wind, and lightning and it didnt sound like a train, it sounded like a 747 without the screeching sound....

That was one mean ass twister!..... The Tuscaloosa twister was more in line with the strongest "super tornadoes" of the Plains states.......Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, etc. But it's no wonder the Deep South has events like this, with the flat terrain and being force fed heavy, warm air from the Gulf. Then all that's got to happen is a strong cold front to come riding in high on the jet stream to set these monsters off.

He had just run up to the third floor in order to glimpse the tornado. Perhaps you could provide a link to an interview he had with CNN: "CNN: Deadly Tuscaloosa tornado caught on tape." It places this tornado in context. This same day ten tornadoes went through the general area where I live, including an EF4.

I am very scared of tornado's i live in corpus theres probably about a tornado every 4 years but often theres tornado warnings issued when ever the skys are black i can never imagine myself in this situation the only time ive seen a tornado was on a bus to Guadalajara mexico near lake Victoria the tornado i would say was an ef2 but very scary and was 6 miles away from us
