@tristomietitore Though you bring up a good point, I train in kickboxing and boxing, and I feel like boxing is a lot more difficult. This is because it is a lot more restricted in what you can do. Also, in kickboxing, it is really easy to land counters with kicks. Its also easier to counter against kicks because they are telegraphed so much more than punches are.

The last thing you want to be is on the ground because you might get stabbed and your head stomped on. what you need is to have quick short punch, a jab and a pefect footwork. same reason why street thugs dont grapple. fanboy little faggots like you need to stop talking when you have no idea

@Jakeb2k11 and karate/taekowndo is 100 percent better than boxing, if u got into a streat fight with a blackbelt/ or a dan, theyd block that punch and hit u with a kick or sometihng, but what your forgetting mate is there is no better martial arts, there is just a better person and even more importnatly, it isnt about streat fights and what martial art is better than the other, its all about self protection, and martial arts such as karate are not about fighting at all, u have a bad veiw of MA

Don't get me wrong, if I went up against a pro boxer my face would be broken in two minutes. If I was up against an MMA fighter, however, every single one of my ligaments would be shattered and the majority of my organs would either stop functioning or would be impaled by my ribs.
MMA is a more effective fighting style than boxing. Ergo more fun.
