I've been a Jack Johnson fan for a long time. It's great to see there are still artists who truly cherish the important things in life. These nonsense "top 40" and rap songs getting played on the radio non-stop could never come close to a beautiful song such as this one. @rumpLstillkickin its about his niece. he explained it at a concert i went to in Berkely Ca. i guess he started writing it when she was born but he put it off and finished it around the time of this album being realized.

Then, when his daughter was born, his wife reminded him about the song, so he finished it. He said the song was dedicated to both his daughter and his niece. His whole family was there and by the looks of it, he has a bunch of nephews and only one niece.
