  • nice dude interesting to hear the lead bit on bass i like it good stuff, trying to get a reggae version of this together, dont listen to the haters. scepticism is always the bastard child of progress (even if its your own progress).

  • Que podre!!

  • Nice!

  • I have one for sale on ebay under the username kuuuks

  • got the same bass :)

    It's epic!

  • It's a nice tune to play bass-solo on in Cmin and Gsharp-pentatonic.

When you do the lower basslines as in the second part of your clip don't forget to use the thirds and seventh of the chords from time to time. They sound melodically very good.

Great bass you have btw !

  • @didiklomberg Furthermore... When you do use the seventh/third, make sure it is the correct one. 1:41 - 1:43 is a good example. Yes you can use B as a possible note, but it almost sounds like bluegrass song when you use the major seventh in that context. When playing the bassline, it outlines the chord much better to use minor 7th (Bb). It's almost like a 'safe note' and leaves a good foundation for the soloist. Good Job though other than that :)

  • Great playing & tone! I just picked up a Jazz 24 V in Very Good condition (mostly surface scratches that can be easily buffed out) at my local Guitar Center's Labor Day sale, and was astounded at the build, hardware & sound quality at the price I scored it at - below $300 USD w/ Gig Bag. I may replace the preamp, but this will easily be my "travel"/"sketchy gig" 5-string (my 4-string version is a MusicMan SUB Sterling) that sounds far better than most at that price range!

  • ha ha, I was playing along on guitar

  • where did you get song to back you up? link please

  • Is this a piano?

  • where is the feeling?? You copied good but you need to add your own feeling!!

  • @quiskito please, it was three years ago..

  • @Hannibalpol its all right men, nice bass anyways..

  • @Hannibalpol People don't really give a fuck about you're " PLEASE, it was three years ago "

You're posting videos, expect to have critics, comments on it.

People always say this " please it was xx years ago ". The fact is that on the vidéo you have no feelings, fact, point. I hate this kind of behaviour

  • @quiskito Woops! where's your video???? New rules! you must post a better video than the one you rip!

  • @ih8tbush nice rule. now i must shut up.

  • i like that song and you realy did

  • What strings do you use? I like that steely "new string" sound!

  • @ultimabass rotosound steel, but i don't remember details of them

  • @ultimabass usually, to keep your bass sounding its greatest, you would replace them every 6-months and wash the strings (just with some watcher and a cloth) once a week to keep grim out. my strings always have that new sound to them!

  • Nice playing and nice bass! I think it would have been better if you lessened the treble, high low mids and less bass too. Again, nice playing!

  • @ilovemysr505

I respectfully say I have to disagree. I'm not the sound is in any need of change :)

  • suena rico

  • da muss du noch viel lernen ;)

  • OMG tocas excelente chavo!

  • Enjoyed your playing. I am learning this tune at the moment and was wondering where you got the Blue Bossa background music you were playing along to. I can't seem to find any good tracks. I would really appreciate your help with this. Cheers Rob.

  • Most any music program you have such as Band in a Box has a means of looping a progression. You just program the progression in, and it will play, although those kinds of programs aren't free. You can usually find some oldschool track that someone else has already picked up though.

  • Thanks for that. I will check out Band in a Box.

  • i digg this

  • i have the same bass

  • smooth :D

  • Nice bass man, great sound

  • Cool daddio im diggin the blue bassa :)

  • great tune and really nice bass!

  • Thats not a squire, its a jazz 24.

  • It isn't Squier X-D

  • k0ng00 : first read, then write

Fender Deluxe Jazz Bass 24 V

  • Nice man!

  • no...

  • toooooo laaaaaate...

  • dude youve gotta turn the ultra bass down...its shakin

  • also, i'm so glad to see you're playing the bass with your thumb on the back of the neck. SO many bassists i know play with their thumb over the top like a guitar, which is the wrong way.

    nice~!

  • there isn't a "way" to play bass. idea is to feel comfortable, and still be able to play what you want without any problem

  • True say, but some playing technique methods like that guy mentioned above are better for the long run. It'll be better for your hands and you can play faster runs if you don't have your thumb on the neck.

  • Comment removed

  • Some people prefer using their thumb on the E... Personally I don't but it goes to show it is entirely down to preference

  • Amen.

  • melody, not solo

  • thank you so much for this! btw i really love the tone of your bass

  • where is a solo ??!!

  • fantastic bass

  • can you tabb the last part for me?

i can do the first part my self.

  • Comment removed

  • wow are you really that much of an ass. He's just trying to have fun. Also he's a young player so his feel will in time. You a asshole!

  • nice work men yeah... just try to free your playing, feel it, solo it for 3 hours, get into it... btw nice sound too

  • i like it

  • Yes. I'm from Poland.

  • What is the song??? the title...

  • wow. great video.. i have bass guitar also same as your bass 24v 5strings. nice sound..

  • Normal

  • ok thx

  • i already know the song just lookt at his hands and lisend

    but thanks for the tips

  • I heard this in an elevator the other day. ^_^

  • Eu só vi esse vídeo pra saber se o timbre do baixo era bom e vc nem toca direito...

    Tá de graça irmão!

  • Every instrument can be a melody instrument in the right hands

  • The next time you can do a little impro!

  • Hmmm well lets see technically this is not the bass to Blue Bossa its just a bass playing the lead to Blue Bossa so well it sounds nice and all it isnt what the video technically is.

  • this is very very boring, wheres your friends?

  • ssij :D

  • Super brzmienie masz z tego Fendera, pozdrawiam Karolek

  • Dziękuję, Karolku. :)

  • man if you made an autumn leaves video that would be much appreciated

  • the second part with i think note and 5th combinations were really cool, I rather see more of that. Bass isn't much of a melody instrument. But great job

  • "Bass isn't much of a melody instrument." What the fuck are you talking about.

  • Bass has one of the most clean tones for melodies dude. And any instrument can be used for anything it is physically possible, nothing says a bass cant play melody or that a sax cant play background. Even drums can play melodies dude, expand your music knowledge :)

  • I was stating my opinion. Everyone has there own taste in what goes well as a melodic instrument.

  • neither are drums but ppl take drum solos...

  • Well, can be. It just the way you play it. Main use in populair music is basic rhythem and laying down the basic harmony. But that doesn't mean that the instrument isn't suitable for melody. The melodypart of the instrument just isn't used that much in populair mainstream music.

  • interesting question, it can be and it is, the very low sound matchs great with some chords on the normal guitar try it dont eliminate it o.o

  • Please play more styles of ongs with that bass. I have the 4 string version and mine doesnt sound anything like that. Im trying to figure out if I should scrap it or fix it.

  • nice job

  • Sounds great! What backing track exactly from 911 tabs did you use?

  • I don't remember.

If someone want that tab, please send me a note and I will reply with link to the server with that

  • Nice mate!one of the songs that ive studied a lot in my bass!!

  • Very nice sound.

Thanks for the post. I'm planning to buy this bass, I'd like to receive your opinion on it, in particular how is the B-string, I mean, if its volume and tone is the same of the rest of the strings or the sound performance goes down when you play the B respect to the rest.

  • The tone of the B-string is like the rest of the sring. In my opinion, of course.

  • nice sound

  • Thanks.

  • Świetnie Hanni! :)

  • Dziękuję Ci bardzo! :)

  • Nice playing, where can i pick up that background track?

  • 911tabs dot com

  • Thanks for letting me hear that bass. Now I'm going to get it and iplaybass77 you don't know what your talking about.

  • good job ;nice !

    wich strings do you use?

  • probably DR's

  • No.

At that time i used Fender's Super Bass 7250s

  • nice playing but i realy dont like that bass personoly

try the FENDER MEXICAN DELUXE JAZZ BASS

    ITS AN AMAZING BASS.

  • i bought this bass to, it's a real stunner as they promised! i liKe the actieve/passive option.. this bass has so many sound available. these Seymour Duncan picKups are so great, and this bass has the option to put the stings true the body or true the bridge.

  • awesome job bro :)

    love it

  • groovy colors on the walls.

  • nie ma to jak blue bossa :)

    fajny klimat, podoba mi się.

Zmniejszyłbym tylko tempo i rozbudował podkład na końcu ale i tak fajnie.

  • you have good skill on bass but nothing innovative...just repetition, i think i saw an octave change that was about it...keep practicing :)

  • Awesome!

can you send the tab of this for me please?

  • I don't have a tab of that. I've got only the chords.

  • hey is this bass any good i might get 1

  • It's very good bass.

  • 2 things that will help: Lay your thumb down on the b and e strings to mute the open string noise. Also you should probably try it at a slower tempo so it sounds more like a bossa and less country.

  • I want to buy this bass, how are the pickups and how playable is the neck?

    Good playing by the way.

  • Pickups are great imo.

    The sound is agressive.

Neck is... big. Very big. But After few days it was normal for me.
