A good game which in all fairness neither team deserved to win. A good start for South Africa but as usual Lara showed his quality. A brilliant 116 and Powell and Sarwan were rather entertaining at the end of the innings. South Africa collapsed meaning that Lance Klusener was there to try and save them. He hit 5 sixes in a well made 50 but unfortunately for him he fell to a good trap set from Drakes and Hooper. And Ntini's dismissal brought an end for South Africa.

One of the great ODIs. Brian Lara is the greatest batsman. His partnership with Hooper was awesome. Not to forget the hitting from Powell & Sarwan. Great captaincy by Hooper. I remember that he talked for very long with Drakes b4 Klusener dismissal. They made a plan & Hooper was right on the spot where he knew Klusener would hit the ball. Lara hit a magnificent six of Donald which is not in this video

I remember just before lance got out, the bowler going bananas about no one field out in cow corner, and carl for some reason not putting anyone there, it took the bowler to almost not bowl for hooper to go out there, and what happens, straight down his throat.
