  • great song so awsome

  • gonna learn it and play it to a girl. wont be single anymore...

  • Lovely tribute to Jimi.

  • very tasty.

  • best song

  • The reason music like this have such small amount of views is because ppl who listen to this downloads it for better quality in contrast to the JB fans who just wants to hear the lyrics ;) thats my perception

  • @delle12 When you write JB in this context, I suppose you mean Jeff Beck, right? :P

  • where can i get the full lesson of this song?tnx

  • MONSTER PHRASING

    MONSTER DYNAMICS

    MONSTER TONE

    MONSTER MUSICIAN!!!

  • Amazing!!

  • Just heard of this guy, I've been completely blown away by everything I've heard, but IMHO this is the best track by far; his tone in this is amazing!

  • I'll bet Andy has a girlfriend.

  • @072748023 yes lol im sure he has many..

  • l'ho visto ieri live che bravo ho l'autografo sulla chitarra piu la foto

  • lol! this song is about the Gypsies getting Tazed at Dale Farm!!! xD

  • I love this song, but there's a sound that Andy keeps making that sounds like the Gchat alert noise. Confuses the heck out of me. I keep checking my Gchat like a madman.

  • One word: Tone!

  • I have seen this Video probably 50 times and honestly am astonished every single time I hear it. What an amazing.. truly amazing sound!

  • Very sweet tune :)

  • beautiful, what a great touch and player.

  • His tone ROOOOCKS....but if we all had a $25,000 rig, everyone would have a nicer tone too.

  • @mastariffa that's true.. still: the best equipment cannot make such sound, only skilled fingers can do that.

  • @mastariffa Its all in the fingers man. My friend Elisha Dyck has a rig that costs 2000 all included. his tone is just like this. Its all in technique. Thats why no two players sound the exact same.

  • this one makes me fly..

  • there are so many good musicians ... some are fency, have weird techniques, are incredible fast.

this song shows us that good music does not need to be fency. good music comes from inside.

  • Well,i'm thinking that someone don't likes this songs maybe he doesn't understand anything about music....and this is so sad for them....

  • literally the first time i heard this sing . i cried

  • @THExPOWERxOFxPINESOL It's just that powerful. I think I did too, hahaha.

  • this is an animal pissing in my eyes...

  • of course he's such great guitarist, look at the picture he has 6 hands

  • @TheDarkbite And a guitar dick

  • That Tone...

  • beautiful song :D

  • PURE GENIUS

  • This song actually brought me to tears the first time I heard it...

  • He wishes he had my tone.

  • DAYYYUM. He is making some serious love to that guitar.

  • im glad the bitch fight is over - cheers andy for this great song i love it so much - also check out gustav guerra's i think it's even better than this version - somehow

  • 0:00 free replay button. use it o.o

  • well ill be back I have to kill 8 people...

  • @55guitarguru You're not funny, just shut up and listen to the music!

  • @schnabby ha! ill tell you whats funny your dumbass profile picture!

  • @55guitarguru I have better things to do than argue with someone over the net. But that has to be the worst comeback I've ever heard. How old are you, ten? Your profile picture is funny! HEHEHEHEH HAHAHAH - NO. Yeah well, your mum thought my profile picture was pretty funny too.

  • @schnabby dude I know my comeback was shit but next to it yours has to be the lowest comeback. talk about my mom all the fuck you want but we both know its a lie. Tonight you will be in the bed of a dude you dont even fucking know. And you said mum wtf are you british?

  • @55guitarguru Hahaha yes I am actually. Well no hard feelings. I'm sure we can both agree to stop arguing and instead listen to the wonderful musician that is Andy Timmons. Peace.

  • @schnabby yeah sure.

  • I do not understand why all the contemporary elecric guitarists do like this heavy compressed sounds, on the guitar and on the drums too .. where is that good old woody sound we all love?

He's imitating that Jimi's sound ... but the crunch sound is too scratchy and the drums are awful

Listen to Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Little Wing", that's a real dinamic overdriven Strat sound

  • @LapoGnappo Too scratchy? This is some of the best guitar tone ever recorded! I don't like the drums either, but this song isn't about that. He was going for a Hendrix type sound here, and that's what he got. it's not exact, because he plays Ibanez, and I believe he played through a Mesa here so that's really the only difference. All he is doing, like the rest of us, is drawing from his influences to pay homage to them. Not copy them. This is absolute perfection tone wise.

  • @BERRYHILLDO75

This song makes me want to buy lonestars and dimarzio cruisers!

  • ah I finally understand why this guy is such an incredible guitarplayer.. that motherfuckers got 6 arms!!

  • ''i've got this on my phone and my ipod, why would i need to favourite it?'' DUHHH!? *saves to favourites*

  • Since when does SRV play an Ibanez?

  • @LPSGRGES ?? Stevie recorded pride and joy with an Ibanez...and a First Act amplifier.

  • @hillbillydlux13 It was a joke, haha. I think Andy sounds a LOT like Stevie in this song is all.

  • @LPSGRGES Ya, may bad. I thought someone said that SRV played an Ibanez and you were questioning them.

  • @hillbillydlux13 S'all good, my friend. :)

  • @hillbillydlux13 pretty sure stevie never even held an ibanez in his life...

  • @benbasketballgtar Probably not, and he damn sure never played a First Act amp. Just being sarcastic.

  • @hillbillydlux13 i know you were , no dickishness intended

  • Every one who likes this should check out a guitarist called philip sayce! His song alchemy is one of those guitar instrumentals you instantly fall in love with :)

  • great song

  • 8 guys must have been looking for the live version, cuz there is no way that they dont like this!

  • @TheUndeadMasterChief the live version was pretty good though.

  • @55guitarguru of course it is ;)

  • just a relaxing song. true student of Satriani.

  • I know that 8 people have no souls, but that has to be the highest percentage of likes to dislikes I have ever seen. A video showing how to make Infrared camera capable of seeing through clothes had a about 10% dislikes for God's sake. The Youtube community shows no mercy.

  • Ive listened to this song hundreds of times and it never seizes to amaze me.

  • i found a new inspiration

  • A more perfect piece of music I have not heard in a long time...

  • Just hearing this for the first time today and I love it. It's so chilled out

  • Who agrees that this guitar tone is probably one of the most desirable and dynamic sounds out there?

  • @InFuriatedShadows I totally agree, its gritty, soft, clear as a bell, and warm at the same time.

  • @InFuriatedShadows my man thats what i call a fractal axe-fx ultra

  • @benbasketballgtar Andy uses a Mesa Lonestar... what are you smoking? The Axe-fx wasn't even out when this was recorded.

  • @donbehatin sorry , its the exact tone he gets from his fractal axe fx now, and you can combine a mesa with the axe fx , its not just a mesa he uses anymore

  • and if you are really curious to what i am smoking then you caught me I smoke marijuana frequently...

  • @InFuriatedShadows OF COURSE!! i am in love with the tone he gets.. im extremely jealous.. it is phenomenal

  • @InFuriatedShadows I've just started listening to him, and I already adore his tone. It's got real clarity and vintage feel to it. Not full on like most guitarists nowadays.

  • does guitar tone get better than this?

  • I learned few parts of this song. Playing them made me realise how much I suck. Playing with this much feeling is freaking impossible

  • ljudi 8,na kurcu vas nosam! ko razume,shvatice! :)

  • this song is perfect for when you look into her eyes, it just suits the moment. rock on man.

  • Nice hendrixy jam...

  • Nice hendrixy jam...

  • This man... Is Hipster perfect... He was perfect before perfect existed... I. AM. IN. LOVE!!!

  • I can't believe I've been listening to this since I was 5 years old,I still love this song so much! Andy Timmons is a blessed guitarist!

  • The best Hendrix worship i've heard in a long, long time.

  • Love the whole song, but the first 42 seconds are quite possibly the most beautiful thing I've ever heard on a guitar!

  • amazing that andy plays exactly what i feel in my heart.

  • 7 People are homophobic! :(

  • @pabloenis I would concentrate on the 927 people who liked it. ;)

  • How can Andy not be on every music chanel in between of every song?

  • nice awesome he's feel 4 the song is really cool

  • buts he cool lol

  • @Pickk111 Andy Timmons is so not Free Masonic. It's a shame if you call such a great musician that. Whatever... You tube has tons of odd comments.

  • FREE MASONIC PERSON

  • God..... this si such a great song. My uncle was playing it one night and I asked him what it was and he sent me right over here.... Absolutely BEAUTIFUL song....

  • andy timmons has incredible tone only comparable to the likes of eric johnson &.. i cant think of anymore atm,

this would be a great G3 jam, andy timmons, eric johnson, & ritchie kotzen..

  • @pi2plank Yeeaaah !! ... My 3 favorite guitarrist !! It's the perfect G3 ... Man please visit my youtube channel :D

  • Oh. My. God.

    Makes me cry.

  • five fucking dumbs

  • how can you not like it? :-)

  • oh my fucking god that toneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard

I first heard it like 14 years ago on an old Ibanez beginer guitar VHS lol

I still remember how to play it too XD

  • I used to watch Andy play at the Blue Cat Blues in Dallas with like 7 people in the audience. I always marvelled at that, cause I knew he was one of the premier guitarists in the world, and I got to sit a few feet from him, yell out requests and chat with him after. Always was a real honor, a true artist, wonderful person, helluva nice guy, and inspiration. God bless...

  • thumbs up if this made you remember when Jimi was still here

  • I grew up in a small town right next to where Andy lived through his childhood, i never imagined hearing my old hero in so many big ways, and big places. TImmons deserves so much more respect just like Kotzen, Howe, Satch and all the greats do. Nothing against Avenged Sevenfold and Synyster Gates, but timmons and kotzen would mess their world up on the guitar, avenged would be lost like little 13 year olds playing together again.

  • I wish there was a "love" button.

  • @TheTrancetrip

great idea man.... try suggesting it to the people of youtube and facebook...

  • I so wanna make love to this.

  • too bad 4 people hit the dislike button on accident

    they probably feel bad

  • this is my favourite piece of music in the world! :)

  • Great song from the solo album of DANGER DANGER guitar player. Remindes me Jimi Hendrix very much.

  • @cfmagal it is a tribute to hendrix, y he called it electric gypsy. gorgeous piece of music tho

  • Come on how can you dislike this song ......... It's perfect .

  • man, how awesome is this guy!!! the cover picture is amazing also :)

  • you can hear jimi's influence right here

  • ... mesa lonestar and mesa stiletto = sex

  • possibly my music HSC piece, wow

  • 3 tone deaf people..

  • beautiful amazing song

  • this is no doubt the best guitar solo ive heard. It has all the technical stuff however the Soul and melody of the chours when it kicks is the icing on the cake for me. This song just screams from all angles and puts a joyful smile on your face. I could listen to this all day if i could. Not only is the guitar sounding great the drums and bass accompany really really well and building up those massive bridges and riffs :)

MUSIC AT ITS BEST AND HIGHEST LEVEL

    ALL TIME FAV!

  • i voted dislike just to be an ass but nice song thought hehe

  • God dammit, how the hell do you tap the harmonics during the first solo. >:(

  • @ThexBloodyxnNine In general, learn the regular left-hand (assuming you are a right handed guitarist) note sequence and then tap 12 frets above that particular note for the harmonic. On the trills or hammer/pull off notes he usually just taps the first note of the sequence and then trills it or hammers/pulls off the next two or three, etc. Hope that helps.

  • ME GUSTA! ME GUSTA!

  • I heard a bit of this song from Andy's Betcha cant play this tid bit....Awesome stuff!

My bro is a guitarist and will enjoy this one for sure

    cheers!

  • Awesome song. Love every bit of it, catchy beutiful riff, awesome fills.. and i liked that he tapped the harmonics in the whole first solo.

  • Is like to be in heaven....Thank you Andy

  • 2:50 for solo. Sorry i'm learning the song off youtube and an easy way to get to that point lol

  • Now i can die happy...

  • amazing tone amazing playing amazing song. so full of emotion. i cant help but smile when the chorus comes around. perfect

  • Hendrix style with Timmons feeling and matchless tone!

  • A true masterpiece of the electric guitar

  • Love this song! Amazing

  • I prefer Timmons myself. Satriani is an excellent player and knows his theory and technique, but Timmons is a bit more soulful. Just a preference.

  • @KVHelwig1337

    agreed!!

satriani emphasised more on technique he is like 'oh look at me i'am a fucking great technical player nobody can beat me!!' timmons is one one of the few shredders who have the sense of melody

  • @KVHelwig1337 I like Timmons better too. I LOVE his tones he gets out of his Mesas.

  • there are two dislikes on this video..... do i really need to say anything?

  • heard him do this live at a guitar clinic. Wow. Just awesome and SUPER nice guy.

  • this doesn't need any vocals.. the feeling is in the guitar.. you can feel it.

  • I've just discovered one of the most beautiful songs ever! i'm feeling so good 8D

  • this was played all in one take. its one guitar through the whole thing, and yet the harmonies are soo beautiful. i dont know how he does it....

  • it's a shame that two people voted on opposite day...

  • I've actually never heard that one before.

  • @mamaperker they missed the like button...

  • @mamaperker && one person is blind && hit the wrong button

  • @XxMzGuitarFreakxX && please top saying &&, it's damn annoying.

  • @Blackmark456 lolz. my bad sorry ill stop its kinda a habit of mine

  • Most of the time when guitarists talk about tone and when there are so many great and wonderful tones out there, it is quite hard to seperate them. Not in this case, the very first time I heard Andy Timmons' "Electric Gypsy," I realized what great tone is and Andy has it. I listen to Satriani, Vai, Gilbert, Morse, Petrucci, etc. but none of their tones can match, but Joe Satriani and Steve Morse come close. Yes, I know great tone is subjective but Andy's tone trancends that.

  • @Stillfaith209

yep i think the same, better satch than morse for sure..i've seen Morse just once with Deep Purple but i didn't like his style..

Andy is the best musically speaking. no way any other in the world can match Andy!
