...hi, can I use the keyboard to play sounds on the microkorg? I know that the keys are smaller than normal, but I want to be able to play the sounds inside the synthesizer part. Can the keyboard do that?

Also, can the microphone be detached from the microkorg so that I can store it in the closet when I am not using it? I need it to go on the top shelf in the closet. Can I do that?

Lastly, do the knobs on the synth part rotate in both directions? I need to be able to go both ways.

@truereveiw Thats because the micrikorg is an 8 band vocoder to get clean vocoded vocals you need at least a 16 band (24 and 36 are even better) vocoder. But for the price, the microkorg gives a relatively good vocoder effect.

well u could plug it into a guitar amp but u will blow it up, u need to use a bass amp, or some monitor speakers. do not use guitar amps for synths it cant cope with the bass

You can pretty much play through an amp of any kind, although obviously on a bass amp the bass is going to be stronger I presume. If you are serious synth player get some monitors, if you are just gonna jam don't rush out and buy anything till you know how far you will use it.

it will work if it has proper cables for guitar and bass inserts. It might not have 100% sound quality, but yeah it`ll work `til you either get a proper amp for it, or a headset that goes to its ins... hope it helped

a guitar amp is not the best to do, because the bass in a guitar amp is a little bit weak, so you want get the deep bass ;/.. but it shut work if the jackstick is same size, as it shut be ;)

@dan64654 I use a guitar amp for my microKorg, i just up the low end. Otherwise if im looking for a serious sound, good tone, etc. im prob recording. So for that you dont need an amp, just 1/4 inch into an interface into garageband, pro tools, reaper, etc
